Good to see Alex Clare's Treading Water making some minimal headway, wonder how it would do with some actual airplay?

Oh dear, looks like Flo Rida could end up #1 next week at this rate, if Ne-Yo and The Script's sales start trailing off, then Amelia could be the only real competition

Anyone know why Edwyn collins is no.60?

007. Flo Rida "I Cry"

752. Bingo Players "Cry (Just A Little)"

Great to see Flo Rida's new song having an effect on the song he ripped off.

047. The xx "Angels"

048. PSY "Gangnam Style"

049. Deadmau5 "Professional Griefers"

064. Knife Party "Centipede"

092. Otto Knows "Million Voices"

from 90 to 7 in less than a week with a ZERO promo or video or even Radio 1 support after 3 MEGA hits... WOW.

I agree, I'm surprised 'I Cry' has rocketed up iTunes so fast despite no airplay. Makes me wonder what exactly has caused this song to do so well. Has it been used in a TV programme or something?

Maybe some local radio stations have started playing it, but such a rapid climb is still baffling.

It's funny how Bingo Players couldn't even get top 40 with Capital support, and Flo Rida has gone top 10 with much less radio airplay (so far) than Bingo Players got.

It's not surprising to see a song gaining momentum so quickly, the more baffling thing is how 'I Cry' gained any momentum in the first place. Seeing it pop up on iTunes was the first I'd even heard of it being the next single ('Let It Roll' is the fourth single elsewhere), and it's not like he would've performed it in the US (where 'Whistle' has only just peaked).

Will have a very amusing chart run at least though, one that'll look as if it was a pre-album single; with a first week debut of #12/13 - followed potentially by a climb into the top 10 (unless it does a 'Turn Up the Love').

I just had my mind blown. I took a listen to 'I Cry', not realising it was effectively Bingo Players remixed for chart success. Cool. This is worse than Good Feeling on the ripping off scale though, and I only love it because of my feelings towards the original and Flo does very little in it.

Avicii's Superlove up to #28 :w00t: Is it too late to be top 40 this sunday?

Grr at Flo Rida at # 6. He is a serious contender for next week's number 1. <_<

Just noticed "Teenage Icon" is about #38 combined, good chance of staying top 40 on Sunday.

I advanced a theory, but it proved to be one not agreed with by many here. ;)

I think "I Cry" is climbing at the same rate that Party Rock Anthem climbed.

It's climbing even faster than PRA I think. But they both went from outside the top 100 to top 10 in the space of a week. And I remember it was someone's record of the week on Radio 1 the week it entered the chart.

 33. A Girl Like You - Edwyn Collins

You'd think from the name this'd be some cheesy charity record... but of course, it isn't. :)

I Cry  #5 :drama:

Currently its a new entry at #15 in the official chart, its got a good chance of finishing inside the top 10 come Sunday I think. Its got potential as a #1 contender next week, if it does it could hog the top spot for awhile.
