September 27, 201212 yr She said she was going to create a new genre of music for this album, but this sounds EXACTLY the same as her other stuff. I don't mind it atm, and can see it being a huge grower like all of her other stuff. She could have changed direction slightly though!
September 27, 201212 yr She said she was going to create a new genre of music for this album, but this sounds EXACTLY the same as her other stuff. I don't mind it atm, and can see it being a huge grower like all of her other stuff. She could have changed direction slightly though! I'm guessing her record company wanted the lead single to have the signature Ke$ha feel to it? With hopefully a more different sound with the rest of the album. Kinda like how Avril Lavigne promised her last album would have an acoustic feel.. but the lead single 'What The Hell' was just generic pop-rock.. which backfired on her which is a shame cause the rest of the album really was different as she said it would be! Hopefully the same won't happen to Ke$ha. She needs a really really good second single to make sure the album doesn't flop. I still love 'Die Young' though. Anyone think it's annoying that One Direction's new song has a really similar title?
September 27, 201212 yr This isn't like old Kesha anyway though. apart from the cliché lyrics there's nothing fun or trashy about it, just boring generic ~(soz i know you all hate that word) club music. It's really got nothing on Blow/Your Love Is My Drug etc.
September 29, 201212 yr Up to #2 on US itunes, and doing pretty brilliantly on radio! KE$HA - Die Young: 27.102 (+ 5.063) Can definitely see a top 10 debut in the works!
October 3, 201212 yr It's a decent enough pop song, I went out of my way to listen to the leak while I was on holiday and I too noticed it was reminiscent of 'Good Feeling' right away (but thankfully not that bad). I gave it another listen and I don't know, it's nothing she hasn't done before and it feels a bit basic. It'll do, but I was expecting better from it. I hope the album has a lot more to offer. November 4, 201212 yr This is brilliant, glad to see it playlisted. I was expecting it to flop in the UK but I hope some buzz can be generated for it now! It's so catchy!
November 4, 201212 yr I doubt it would've flop but anyway i exspect this to smahs hard when its released here in a few weeks.
November 8, 201212 yr Fabulous track. Only just listened to it properly today (Ke$ha isn't exactly an anticipated artisté of mine), and this is REALLY good. Expecting pretty big things. Much better than We R Who We R!
November 8, 201212 yr This is one of my least favourite Ke$ha singles, but it's still a fun track. Much prefer the incredible WRWWR, Blow, YLIMD etc. The video is decent, kind of a mix between Born This Way and Judas . She looks amazing too and not as sleazy as usual (although i must say i love her when she's sleazy too)!
November 8, 201212 yr I really like the video, I love most of the triangles and other effects. Seems a bit random though, does it really suit the song? They're both fab though, Ke$ha continues to deliver.
November 8, 201212 yr Decent enough video I guess even if it didn't REALLY suit the song. She actually looks really good in it too.
