It is the best song on the album, so I am happy with that, however I was kind of looking forward to getting a brand new Nicki track. I suppose it would have been a bit of a joke to only release 2 singles from the album though, and I know its another dance-pop record but it different enough from 'Starships' and 'Pound The Alarm' to be released after them I think.
'Va Va Voom' has been playlisted on Radio 1 this week. Looks like its the new single (though they did playlist 'I'm The Best' at one point).
Colour me confused. You don't re-release an album with an old song (though Va Va Voom is PERFECTION) so is this not going ahead or is it just delayed?

I had already listed it on the NRS last weekend

I'm confused. She obviously wants to capitalize on the Xmas sales, but by the sounds of it, she's nowhere near complete, but releasing "Va Va Voom" now would keep the album occupied until January? Possibly?
The thing is Va Va Voom was only on the Deluxe version of the album, I really hope Va Va Voom is a hit, it deserves to be MASSIVE.
This is not an urban single, urban stations will play it because its Nicki but its definitely more pop. I think her rapping is better than anything she's done on the album so far but the song itself is really just nothing special.

YES CASSIE. There literally couldn't be a better collaboration ha.

Bit disappointed it's just Cassie's 'Money on Love' with Nicki rapping over the top (especially as it's supposedly a Nicki song?!), but still, glad it's getting a release and hopefully it'll give Cassie a deserved hit.

Its way more Urban than Starships and Pound The Alarm though.

It is but they were meant to be pop singles, she's lost loads of her urban fanbase and this re-release was supposedly meant to help bring some of them back. Its just such a mediocre song the whole thing seems to pointless.

Urban radio were FINE with Super Bass, they'll be fine with this. This song is very urban.

Nicki needs a song that can cross over (although I think there were some on the original album that could've done, like Marilyn Monroe, Masquerade, Right By My Side, Va Va Voom, HOV Lane, etc.).

Did I not say in my post above that Urban radio will play it? Besides I was talking about her fans who prefer her Urban music, this isn't fooling anyone.

Why would it fool anybody? It's like her other urban hits like Your Love, Moment 4 Life, which is what made Nicki popular in the first place.

Beez in the Trap isn't very good (and did WORSE on urban radio than Super Bass). It has absolutely NO melody, and a boring chorus. This is much better. Urban fans like songs with lots of synths and lots of drums, like Niggas in Paris, Motivation, What's My Name?, etc.

There's certain drum patterns and rhythms that urban songs are supposed to have, and Starships and Pound the Alarm didn't use them, but this song does, so it's perfectly fine.

Its nothing like your love and Moment 4 Life its much similar to her pop singles, anyway its my opinion. Leave it.

I LOVE it I love that it's Urban but it has a pop feel to it as well it's a mixture of both I love Cassie on it as well I hope it does well
