I agree Amelia will probably fall during the week, but Ne-Yo, The Script, Little Mix and Pink are also falling, so it won't be so bad. I think Flo Rida could be her main competition, if he carries on shooting up like he did last week.

Surely David Guetta/ Sia will be in with a chance when released too

Yeah, I keep forgetting about them. They certainly have a shot. but will be hurt by missing Sunday's sales (they really should start releasing albums digitally on a Sunday in this day and age...). Or I could see that song climbing to its peak over the weeks maybe, since it hasn't had THAT much pre-release airplay. But I think they'll debut somewhere in the #1-#10 region.

Tulisa is NOT top10 combined. She's more about to hit top15 with two versions combined. I can't see her going top5. Probably #6-#8.

I'm so happy for Amelia. Go girl!

I still think Amelia Lily will finish this week at around #06, she's going to be heavily frontloaded and the fact that she entered the chart immediatly means she will no doubt start falling on monday, I would love for her to finish top 5 though, imagine had she followed Misha B and put YBMJ for 59p!

21. Tulisa & Tyga - Live It Up (This is this years Pixie Lott - What Do You Take Me For)

42. The Killers - Runaway

I'm surprised there hasn't been much talk on here about a certain girl group that's just entered the top 100.

The song is quite catchy.

I heard it and turned it off after about 20 seconds - it sounded AWFUL. It's rare for me not to like a girlband.

What's the name of the group?

(AND YES, I KNOW IT'S NOT LITTLE MIX!)

Vida. The song is Boombox.

Judging by the music video, the production and the beat of the song, and the clothes they're wearing, they're clearly not signed to a major record label. Good for them for managing to get into the top 100 on iTunes though.

That's the first time I heard of a Girl-group who enter the charts without a record label. Must be a independent record.
Tulisa seriously will not go to #1 unfortunately. There's a REASON why songs like Right By My Side, Man Down, Look At Me Now, etc. don't get promoted as singles in the UK. I'll be surprised if it even goes top 5.

It's not even 2pm and she's probably around #12/#13 combined. Forget Amelia's initial surge and think of how many #1s in the past have been at #12 or lower at this stage before. There have been so many. It is seriously doing as well as a #1 should at this point. Amelia is sadly going to start dropping in the next 36 hours due to lack of widespread airplay.

I don't want Tulisa to get this week's #1 though. 'Live It Up' is just horrendous and it's stupid that she's trying to claim that it isn't pop. It might be urban (not in a good way) but it still follows the basic pop formula - i.e. shit lyrics, a basic instrumental and crap vocals.

Heard the first few seconds, then switched it off. Sounds like one of those annoying songs, enough to make it chart.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think maybe Booty Luv and/or Parade might have been on independent labels.

Yeah, urban songs don't have to be good. There's lots of awful urban songs (although I like Tulisa's one). And most urban songs that make the charts, even in the US, follow the standard pop music formula (verse/chorus structure, catchy chorus, simple instrumental, etc.). And again, some are good, some are bad.

There have been SOME songs that have been massive hits this year that have used hip hop rhythms, such as R.I.P, Mama Do the Hump and Too Close, so you could be right that this will get to #1. But if Tulisa wants another #1 she'll probably have to release another dance-pop song like Young (although I hope she doesn't).

I'm not getting my hopes up about Tulisa after Ne-Yo, it still could easily climb there later. Having said that, I did expect it to be very front-loaded. Amelia's song is very unremarkable, but its preferable to Tulisa, who'd have thought she'd be doing so well after Misha & Marcus completely bombed? :o

The Killers not doing that well atm, I'm not fully taken by this song yet, but I hope they can still get top 10.

Parade were on Atlantic and Booty Luv were on Hed Kandi/Ministry of Sound.

Atlantic is a major record label, but I don't think Ministry of Sound are, so I guess Booty Luv are the most successful Independent girl group, at least from recent years.

I wouldn't call getting a debut top 10 single (or in Misha's case a #11 single) "completely bombing"...

Anyway, I would absolutely love nothing more than for Amelia to go to #1 with YBMJ but I just can't see her even going top 3 officially. But then Olly Murs managed to get to #1 without Radio 1 support originally.

Not really surprised Amelia is doing well the song has been played to death on Capital and I think its been played on Radio 1 as well If only Misha had been supported by Capital Home Run would and should have done so much better :(
