What do you think on first listen(s) to the new album?

 

My favourites are True love, Just give me a reason (its stuck in my head and won't get out :P ), How come you're not here, Are we all we are, $l*t like you (really wasn't sure on this one when I heard the clip :lol: )... Ok so I feel like I'm just listing the track list here :lol:

 

The only one I'm not really feeling yet is Here comes the weekend with Eminem :thinking:

Oh and I'll add Walk of shame to my little list of LOVES :w00t:

I am waiting till Monday, but I did listen to the lyric videos, Slut Like You <3

Given in and put the album on itunes so I can listen to it while I'm out today :lol: I didnt want to do that because I'll loose the play count when the album is released.

Its like I'm having phases of each song, for an hour or so I'll have $l*t like you in my head and LOVE that one, then it'll be The truth about love....right now its Run :lol:

 

Only one I'm still not getting is Here comes the weekend :( Never had a skipable Pink song before :o

"Is This Thing On?" is such a good track!

A new leak from a big star every day this week it seems! :lol: FANTASTIC (that it leaked; I haven't heard it yet; I'll get back to you on this one).

I'm honestly even less hyped for this than I was for Nelly's new one. Had it downloaded since yesterday and can't find the energy to listen. Bahhh.

 

OK I just listened and I was so prepared to eat humble pie. Unfortunately the album is quite awful, a real disappointment. :(

 

I won't do a rate because all of the 'fun' uptempo songs blurred into one extremely annoying song but basically the only things to catch my attention were Beam Me Up (decent) and The Great Escape (could be up there with her best ballads). I can't believe she's made this album in all honesty. She doesn't seem to have anything to write about. True Love, $l*t Like You, Walk of Shame etc - all bonus track material at best. Blaahhh!

 

Well I'm giving this my first listen. I like it a lot, but I'm not loving it as much as I should considering it's a P!nk album. 'Just Give Me A Reason' is my favourite track so far though (I'm up to 'Truth About Love'). 'Try' is growing on me the more I listen to it too. '$l*t Like You' and 'Truth About Love' are pretty annoying and will grate on me with each passing listen I think.

I love her MORE FUN tracks so I'm really liking Slut Like You and Walk of Shame. :D Are We All We Are is quite a fantastic track as well.

'Is This Thing On'! This track is great. Really, really loving it. It's my favourite track, just ahead of 'The Great Escape'. Thankfully there ARE two tracks that are worth going back to that I can see myself not getting bored of so quickly.

Not really crazy about this. I do really like the track with Eminem. I wonder if she'll ever be angry enough to make a great record like 'Try This' again though :(

Finished the album now, I really enjoyed it. I can't compare it to any other albums of hers which might be a good thing that I listened to this first going by the reactions of some people here.

 

I need to re-listen before I can pick out my favourites properly but I love the singles especially.

This album is all over the place for me, I can't say I love it but I can't say I hate it as there are some brilliant moments on here (i've only listened to the main songs, not the bonus tracks) I will say that this is nowhere near as good as I'm Not Dead or Funhouse...some of the songs like How Come You're Not Here and Truth About Love are trainwrecks...it doesnt even feel like she's trying on half these songs lyrics-wise, 'did you go for a long walk off a short pier how come you're not here?' *cringes* but then there's some beautiful tracks on here like Beam Me Up and The Great Escape, I love Blow Me and Try, they're the right single choices...the only other songs I can see being hit singles are Just Give Me A Reason and True Love.

It's a pretty good album but a step down from Funhouse and I'm Not Dead. Try, Beam Me Up, Just Give Me A Reason, $l*t Like You and True Love are my highlights for now - I actually think Blow Me (One Last Kiss) is one of the weaker tracks though!
