Interesting about the sales,

Quite surprisingly she's up to #1 in France this week, AND she breaks a new record here for most downloaded track in a week with 22.718 digital sales :o

"Skyfall" won Best Original Song at the Golden Globes last night! Adele dedicated the award to her boyfriend and son (who later in the night she said that she'd like to keep the name to herself for a while longer).

The win will likely give skyfall a sales boost and no doubt ensure it is another platinum selling single for her in the UK. The whole 21 era is simply incredible, massive album with some massive single sales to go with it.

Could she get the Oscar aswell? It's looking likely.. :D

It should be amazing. I can't believe it'll be the first time she will have performed it - live or in a music video :o Hopefully the full orchestra are there with her.

I really want this to win the Best British Single Award at the BRITS now! I wouldn't mind Spectrum either, but after Adele missed out last year I really want her to get it! Also, it would add to the amazing success of a song which is a soundtrack song!

 

Also, good to see it back in the top 40 this week (although it only left for 1 week)...

Im happy for her. Just wait for the next album. I'm unsure on how big in comparison to 21 it'll be.

I would have preferred someone like you as a Brit winner than skyfall, for me someone like you would have a very worthy winner where i don't think skyfall was.

So the oscars are tommorow. Can see Skyfall boosted back into or close to the top 10 then.

First ever Oscar win for a Bond theme and the first Bond-related Oscar win of any kind for 47 years!

 

Back in the top 10 (#8) on US iTunes but there hasn't been an effect as of yet in the UK.
