Madonna’s Everybody is at #574…so much for getting it to number one! It wouldn’t have worked anyway.

No Shirley Bassey?

Afraid not. :( It is surprising though, would have thought at least Goldfinger would make an appearance.

203. Bruno Mars - Locked Out of Heaven

Has this been released already?

I think its just the pre-order as they show up in the singles chart now. The EPs still show up in the albums though.

officially not till the 25/26 Nov

Oh yeah, of course! :P Completely forgot about that.

That's an interesting coincidence that the biggest band in history and one of the biggest film franchises in history both started on the very same day. I wonder if anything else of note happened on the 5th of October, 1962 :P

'Love Me Do' is #282, to answer the question.

The Cuban Missile Crisis began, must have been something in the water lol!!

Delighted with this! It should easily get another couple of weeks top 10 and hopefully become her biggest selling single aswell!

13. Nicki Minaj - Va Va Voom (Don't think this will get top 15, it's released tomorrow and by the time the music video is out, there should be no effect. Gutted, easily one of my favourite Nicki songs)

16. Taylor Swift - Red (I wonder if this will go top 20 come Sunday? It didin't really have any effect from the top 10)

25. Jason Mraz - (This should miss the top 10 come Sunday now)

35. Adele - I Can't Make You Love Me

38. Cheryl - Under The Sun (Underperformed from an album that's also underperformed, final week top 40 though!)

42. Maroon 5 - One More Night

55. Chris Brown - Don't Judge Me

67. Swedish House Mafia - Save The World

It might do but for her album she should move onto the 2nd single and perform Red or something so people have more reason to buy the album, WANEGBT has had its time and sold well!!

The highest is probably still to come, probably Xmas week.

Is Xmas week really that high, is it not just the top 2 really, gift card week is where its at!!

I really thought OneD had the #1 in the bag sewn up a few weeks ago, my how things have changed with Rihanna and Adele in the mix of things. :D

Isn't this the second biggest weekly iTunes thread in terms of replies, with the first biggest being the week that Euphoria peaked in the charts at #3? :o

I am taking the credit for this achievement as I came up with the idea of the weekly iTunes thread (bow down iLoons!). :D

Bigger than the thread that covered the week when 30 Days was out? :o

Really?

I'd be surprised if the record company don't bring the release date forward. Adele and Rihanna have proved that by releasing singles asap can actually be a good thing. It's not like Bruno Mars is an unknown artist although if they insist on holding back the release for another eight weeks, it's probably because the record company have litle faith in the song and feel eight weeks of radio/TV airplay will help the song sell better when it finally arrives. It'll probably do so at the expence of the track's sales collapsing in week 2 (how many times have we seen this happen in 2012 with #1 debuts?)

Am I the only one underwhelmed by Adele's lead? Thought she would be outselling Rihanna by at least 5x by now.

I assume that was the week meant.

I expected Rihanna to be at 0.3 at this point. 0.36 is therefore slightly underwhelming for me. I guess they're both naturally being climbed on slightly by PSY because of the weekend effect.

I really hope Rihanna can stay ahead and chart at #1 on Sunday because I really love that song, though I think her biggest competition is Adele who I think will chart between #3-1 also...
