There were also 7 in the chart where the whole top five were new entries for the first time (13/11/04) and the week that Eric mentioned when Ciara débuted at #1.

Indeed it's been replicated many times but that was the first- indeed by way of extra info:

the first time (with the exception of the first chart) that there were 3 new entries in the top 10 was 15.02.92

4 new entries- 25.09.93

5 new entries- 08.07.95

and 6 new entries- 22.02.97

19/04/97 there were 7 new entries in the top 10 :D

Thanks. :D There were quite a lot of weeks during 2004/2005 where there were 7+ entries in the top 10 I think. But none of them had the actual top 7 itself all as new entries that I know of.

Ivi had my favourite song at Eurovision with "La La Love".

The nearest I can find is the top 6 on 15.04.00 :(

New releases

88. Live While We're Young - One Direction

91. Swimming Pools (Drank) - Kendrick Lamar

168. Diamonds - Rihanna

376. Anything Could Happen - Ellie Goulding

Thanks. That's a good top 10, with Never be the Same Again and Say My Name.

Funny seeing Craig David at #1. He'll never be able to get another chart hit now.

lol. WTF?!

From #136 to #88 in the space of half an hour!

Is not that impressive. I expected better to be honest! Maybe they're going to underperform, we can only hope.

Had no idea Kendrick Lamar was releasing this week, could be a bit of a shock hit if it's had enough pre-orders to go straight into the top 100! Good start for Rihanna.

I shall be secretly laughing if PSY manages to hold onto #1 and fending off 1D. :D (It's clearly not happening but here's me hoping..)
Does anyone remember where What Makes You Beautiful was around this time?

From #94 to #3 in 5 minutes

The same thing could happen with this song.

Remember One Direction has the EP (currently #1 in albums) which most fans will have ordered.

Huge amounts of sales will be there.

Swimming Pools is an absolute TUNE

Yes, I especially love the strings in the chorus. But I prefer The City and The Recipe. I don't understand how this is in the top 100 in the UK though.

They would probably be at number 1 just by their pre-orders only.

72. Live While We're Young - One Direction

90. Swimming Pools (Drank) - Kendrick Lamar

110. Diamonds - Rihanna

151. Anna Sun - Walk The Moon

EPs on Albums Chart

1. Live While We're Young - EP - One Direction

8. Anything Could Happen (Remixes) - EP - Ellie Goulding

14. Skirts - EP - The Other Tribe
