Lucy Rose does indeed love tea. In fact, she sells her own branded tea at her gigs. I bought some at her Belfast gig in June, and she thanked me profusely for doing so, before apologizing for not having any music on sale.

Did you see Jake Bugg in Belfast last Friday?

The tickets sold out before I realised he was playing :( .

He's coming again in Spring, so I'll probably hop along to see him there.

I left it too late to see him in Reading :( I'm seeing him in Southampton in the new year although it will be a rather larger venue. OTOH it's great that he's already progressing to those larger venues. I think that's a hint that I'm looking forward to his album getting in the chart next month so I can say good things about him :D

The PSY Single is also the first Asian Language Song to reach

No.1, in the UK. And the first to reach our Top 10, since 1963,

when Kyu Sakamoto took Sukiyaki, to No.6. That was sung in

Japanese, & it was a USA No.1.

As Greatest Hits, by Queen, is back in the Top 75,

(No.62), I thought that you may be interested in

these Lists.

All Lists go up to W/E 6th October 2012 - Inclusive

2) Bat Out Of Hell - Meat Loaf - 440

3) Greatest Hits - Queen - 415

NOTE - Regarding the above List - from the

W/E 8th August 1981 to W/E 14th January 1989,

the entire Top 100 of the Album Chart was used

for UK Chart Statistics.

Here are how many Weeks 4 of these 5 Albums gain,

from that period. Gold by ABBA has no Chart

Positions added in, from that period, as it was

not released until September 1992.

The Weeks they gained from No.76 to No.100 Positions

(August 1981 to January 1989)

Zeus, this may be a little bit specific for you to have records on it, but do you know if any other artists besides fun. have had multiple runs in the top 10 with their first 2 chart entries?

We Are Young 7-3-3-3-5-2-1-2-3-6-7-9-7-11-12-10-...

Some Nights ...-10-10-14-7-...

Thanks for that extra info Colin.

If anyone has their chart data in a relational database (I'd love to be able to say I had it myself) then they could answer Bre's question although it would be a fairly complex query. If I had such a database then I would relish the challenge

By the way Mumford & Sons' US chart distinction is the highest sales for a ROCK album since 2008 - they're on for about 600k which has been beaten several times since then by albums of other genres.

Bre - The only other such Act, that I can find is Frankie Laine.

His first 2 Chart entries did this:,

W/E 15th November 1952 - High Noon - 7-7-11-11-9-12-12

W/E 15th November 1952 - Sugarbush - Doris Day & Frankie Laine - 8-12-0-8-8-10-10-10-10

Following on from your Rita Ora trivia, PSY is another addition to the list of chart topping artists from countries that aren't universally recognised, as South Korea isn't recognised by North Korea.

Thanks for that zeus, might as well be a first then as the charts of the 50s were a bit unusual on the whole!
