Is there a video on MTV yet or is it just radio that we are relying on?
I said it won't be top 40 and I stand by that prediction. If it's not outside the top 100 on iTunes by next Sunday I'll eat my hat.

It's selling more than twice what the no.2 track is selling on iTunes at the moment.

How could it possibly *not* be in the top 40 come Sunday?

Even if it failed to sell one single copy more it would still be top 40.

He's obviously being sarcastic :P It's part of some people's personalities, and it makes reading the forum more enjoyable B-)

Before I heard it, I voted #2 peak, as I thought it might do a Born This Way, but now I think it's a certainty for #1. Whether it's next week when SHM is released or the week after is the question.

I don't think anyone outside BuzzJack knows who she is to be honest.

Sarcasm, as I'm sure everyone well knows, doesn't always translate well over the internet :)

Beside I read some daft things on here from time tyo time, why shouldn't I take it at face value?

I voted no.2 this week, no.1 next week. I think that's still do-able.

It's a great Bond theme, reminiscent of 'Diamonds are Forever' of course but also has that 'edginess', that air of tension about it that makes a classic Bond theme.

Never been that big a fan of Adele but on first listen this is ace.

All sorts of classic Bond touches in there.

I suspect most of those votes for '#1 this week' have come in the last 12 hours for some reason... :P

Nor does my sardonic humour alas, which has led to some of my humourously-intended comments in a certain area being misinterpreted as harsh criticism.

If the Adele Single were by anyone else, it would not be

getting such hype & Sales. It is the best Bond Theme in

several Years, but, it is hardly in the same league as

'Goldfinger', & at times, it seems to be almost about to

turn into 'Diamonds Are Forever'.

'Surrender', the end credits Song, for the 1997 Bond

Film, 'Tomorrow Never Dies', was a far more classic

Bond Theme. It was sung by KD Lang. It was originally

going to be the main Theme, but they gave that to Sheryl

Crow, in the end - with a far weaker Theme.

'Surrender' - KD Lang (End Credit Theme from 'Tomorrow

Never Dies' - 1997). Miss. Lang's Bond Theme is far more

epic than Adele's.....

k.d.Lang's Surrender is brilliant! I do slightly prefer it to Tomorrow Never Dies, but that is fantastic too! Like I said before, the themes from the 90s are up high in the list of Bond Themes.
why is released on friday-saturday and not in a full week?

"Skyfall" was released on 5 October 2012 at 0:07 BST, as part of "Global James Bond Day", celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of Dr. No, the first James Bond film.

#4-5 [ 26 ] the most voted option with 25% of votes.

Surprise Surprise

I will admit that i voted #6-10

:o

I thought she would get the no1 this week but it seems more likely that Sweedish House Mafia will get it instead now!

I expect she should start decreasing in sales by next week so she may never get to no1 if she doesn't get it this week...

Imagine Adele doing a 2-2-2-3-4

It is a shame she didnt release earlier last week as she would have easily got number 1 last sunday. Not that Adele has anything to worry about, it will still sell extremely well in the long run and will help boost even more sales for 21. I do believe she will get another number 1 single when she eventually returns with the 21 follow up.

Agree. Given it's released at the time when sales start to pick up, I can see this single easily doing over 400K in the UK by end of the year. The Bond movie releases end Oct which should boost sales further.
