Its sales went from 112K last week to negative 83K this week. This negative tally reduced the song's release-to-date tally from 2,443,000 to 2,359,000. How can this be? Many fans took advantage of iTunes' "Complete Your Album" feature. When fans take advantage of that feature, they get a reduction on the price of the album, but the earlier song transaction is deducted from the song's tally.
November 1, 201212 yr Can't believe 'One More Night' has spent so long on top now. :drama: Frustrating for PSY.
November 1, 201212 yr 08 OUT Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - -83,000 (that's minus 83,000) From Chart Watch: We Are Never Ever…" drops from #8 on last week's Hot Digital Songs chart completely off the chart this week. November 1, 201212 yr Ed Sheeran finally top 40 :cheer: And getting a second top 100 hit - though #67 must be the lowest peak for an iTunes #1 ever :drama:
November 1, 201212 yr Ooh, nu peak for Alicia :D Pity about Ellie falling but she seems to be stalling on iTunes.
November 1, 201212 yr Now I actually like One More Night but so many weeks on top is ridiculous, poor PSY! I was hoping Glee could boost Gangnam Style to #1, but Darren Criss said in the preview video they aren't performing it until an episode in about 3 weeks time so I fear it could be too late. -83,000 for Taylor though omg
November 1, 201212 yr I dont understand how a song can sell -83,000? It's simple - 83,000 people realised the song was shit and returned it to iTunes in disgust.

November 2, 201212 yr I was surprised to see I Knew You Were Trouble drop out of the charts, but I guess it makes sense with Complete my album!
November 3, 201212 yr Unless I've completely misunderstood the situation, it must have been more than 83,000 people that used the Complete My Album feature for Taylor. Say 100,000 were going to buy the track anyway last week (based on the 110k the week before). Then we're left with a total of -83k! :o If nobody had downloaded the song individually last week, its sales would be in a much bigger deficit, so whatever it did sell helped to claw back a huge deficit from the 'album completers'!
November 4, 201212 yr Author Unless I've completely misunderstood the situation, it must have been more than 83,000 people that used the Complete My Album feature for Taylor. Then we're left with a total of -83k! :o If nobody had downloaded the song individually last week, its sales would be in a much bigger deficit, so whatever it did sell helped to claw back a huge deficit from the 'album completers'! As as example, If 500,000 people used complete my album to buy 'Red', it doesn't mean they purchased all the pre-release singles. It's possible that only 283,000 of the completers previously bought 'Never', and if 'Never' sold 200,000 copies last week, that would give the negative figure (-83,000).
