Well, whoever decided that Bournemouth was a suitable venue for one of their two pre-Glasto gigs was spectacularly right :D They were absolutely brilliant tonight. Of course, one of the consequences of seeing a band on their third album is that some of the early favourites will no longer be part of the set so there was no Diplomat's Son tonight :(

Still, I broke a personal record tonight. Part of the fun of seeing a much-loved band live is seeing how many notes it takes to identify a song. That can sometimes be as few as just one or two notes but tonight I got A-Punk in none. Ezra's stance before playing the first note was enough for me to guess what was coming next :D

I think you might have just invented the Indie-rock version of the Japanese card game karuta. #obscurereference

Hope they come back to Belfast at some point. The last time they played here (Big Weekend notwithstanding), they hadn't released their 2nd album, and some of the songs on Modern Vampires seem like they'd be mighty fun.

Unbelievers, Diane Young and Ya Hey were the highlights from Modern Vampires.

Do they not have a uk tour planned? Hope if they do comeback they play Limelight or Mandela the Odyssey would be crap!!

THe new album is brillant Unbelievers is the best track there!!

They are playing at a lot of European festivals in the summer followed by a tour of the US and Canada so there's no room for more normal gigs until the autumn. However, at the moment they have a single date in Paris in November so perhaps there will be some other European dates around that time. Fingers crossed.

I was right. They have announced some new dates in mid November including the O2 Arena (formerly the Millennium Dome). Nothing outside England or Scotland so far I'm afraid.

They'd be too big for Limelight or Mandela, as much as I'd love them to play there. I imagine the Ulster Hall would be a good fit, although unfortunately at the moment it doesn't look like they'll be playing here on their UK tour.

Places like that are devoid of any Craic and mean you can appreciate how good they are!

Apparently "Worship You" has been C-Listed by BBC, but is not on the release schedule. I really hope it's the next single!

It's on the 6Music A-list, it probably is the next single but they've not been putting out proper singles with videos and/or digital EPs so it'll probably do nothing. :(

They did put out a video for Diane Young so I'm hopeful there will at least be a second official video.
