Beautiful. Smash in the making hopefully, it's a wonderful song but I fear it could get lost in the Christmas rush.

Oh now that's a pretty cover, much better than the one for 'Anything Could Happen'. Obvious single too, one of the best songs on the album.

I do agree though that sadly it could be lost in the Christmas rush, to be honest much as it might seem like a bit too much of a gap between the album and 2nd single, I think an impact date of a month or so later would be better.

I hope to God this does not get lost or flops undeservedly, it is a million times better than Anything Could Happen and by far the best thing on the album.

I think they just want something out before the year end to maximise sales in the Christmas rush, it might be at the cost of this doing well though :( Hopefully she actually does promotion (Anything Could Happen got so little) to give this a good shot at doing well. If I were to throw any song to the wolves in the hope of Xmas $ale$, it would have been I Know You Care.

Fab single choice from Ellie, the music this era has been so good!

 

I really don't like that she's shaved parts of her hair though, just doesn't look nice IMO.

Not my first choice, but her second singles never are. Like I've said, I'm surprised they didn't go with a ballad.

Figure 8's a really good song, my favourite from the album, but unfortunately I just can't see it doing well as a single. However much I love Halcyon I don't think anything else on it will be successful. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

She should have held this back until January - Its totally going to get lost in the Christmas rush but should help album sales - Hopefully the single will recover after Christmas if the iTunes gift purchases don't push it out of the charts :cry:

I personally think it is the worst she's ever done. Ritual or In my city would have been so much better to be on the actual album.

Oh I adore Atlantis personally - it is quite repetitive I guess but the contrast between the euphoric lovestruck verses and the sheer devastation of the chorus is incredible. I feel like her vocals were perfectly produced on it too - the chorus makes her sound quite childlike but that only makes it all the more sad. I wouldn't say it's a single (My Blood absolutely must be next) but it's an amazing song.

Without going all theoretical~ on ya's, but I feel it's deliberately overproduced because it really demonstrates her sadness and desperate. I think its purrfect. Don't think it's single material, I'd love it to be, but I fear it'd go bottoms up. Then again look at "Lights".
