Skylder Dig Ik' Noget is marginally better for me but I'm not keen on either particularly. Much respect for continuing with the year of foreign language entries by the way, Ashton have certainly provided some of the best over the years.

 

I have a brilliant Afrikaans language power pop song at #11 in my chart at the moment but I've passed up on sending it as I honestly can't see who it would appeal to out of the hipsters and pure pop fans. It's very 'In A Moment Like This' so the old-skool Eurovision fans that have nearly all departed the contest now would have probably loved it. Still I've been very happy with my recent German language experiments *.*

Björnskov for Ashton in Ashtonise held Final!

 

 

Ashton's representative for BJSC LXIV, Björnskov - Vi Er Helte, has returned to Ashton to the final once more. After a controversial 72hrs that saw the Federal Government of the Federal Republic of Ashton step in to seize the contest from it's hosts, order has been restored with the Semi-Final's being axed and all songs advancing to the final. This is the first return to the 1BF format since the reintroduction of semi's.

 

The Federal Republic will be noting the final at the Royal Ashton Concert Hall in the City of Morpeth, Morpeth Cove, Rd'ÁC. The results will be held in Bignia-Zaragovina.

LXV - Ashton stays with Scandinavia for the Former Scandinavian Republic hosted contest

 

Ashton looks to be staying put in Scandinavia once more this month making this the 5th of our last 6 entries to come from Scandinavia. The odd one out being LXIII's trip to Ukraine.

 

The ASC and SNÁ have made the unusual step of ruling an artist out publicly and have confirmed that the nation will not be represented by Gabrielle and her new track 5 Fine Frøkner. This is despite it rocketing straight to the top of the AshChart after being on sale for only 2 days before the chart was published. Gabrielle is liable for an Auto-veto having been entered 4 times since 2011. You can listen to the record breaking Ashtonise number one below:

It gives the SNÁ and ASC great pleasure to confirm that the Federal Republic of Ashton will be represented in the Former Scandinavian Republic of Rontvia by Albin with the song 'Din Soldat'. 'Din Soldat' features guest vocals from Kristin Amparo. This is Ashton's 5th foreign language entry in a row and it's 65th entry.

 

Din Soldat was the AshChart #1 prior to the release of 'Fem Fine Frøkner' and remains at #2 this week.

Foreign Language Year to Continue

 

The SNÁ and ASC have confirmed this evening that Ashton's year of Foreign Language music will continue in spite of blatant racism against non-English entries. An ASC spokeswoman said "Ashton will continue to send Foreign Language music, it gave us our only win and we feel that Non-English songs needed promoting within the contest. Many are amongst the contests best entries but languish at the bottom of the scoreboards due to the xenophobic attitudes of a surprisingly large number of nations."

 

Our reporter noted that the ASC spokeswoman was rather drunk as the Federal BJSC body commiserates itself with Din Soldat performing not as well as Ashton had expected.
