Din Soldat finished 18th!

After a disappointing start to the evening the Federal Republic of Ashton finished 18th in Constarvan with Din Soldat. A pleasing result, matching the points total of Junat Ja Naiset with 91 points. (And position too thanks to a massive 4way tie for 17th)

The SNÁ and ASC are looking forward to launching #Ash66 after Buzzfestivalen.

Ashton will host the 3rd heat and the final of the third Buzzfestivalen.

Kliff - Maija for Buzzjackfestivalen III

Buzzjackfestivalen has returned for a third time! Once again the Federal Republic is hosting both a heat and the final. This month it's over to Néú Oslo for the Heat as the city makes it's BJSC hosting debut!

Ashton is performing in heat 4 of the 36 song competition and is being represented by Finnish boyband Kilff with the track Maija. This will be Ashton's second non-English entry to BJFest, with last years entry finishing a superb 4th for the nation! Maija is the latest in a long line of foreign language entries for the Federal Republic as the nation pushes ahead with it's strategy to only enter Foreign Language tracks for an entire BJSC decade.

Our ASC insider has told us that the ASC is aiming to re-establish Ashton's sound, promote foreign language tracks and reinforce the nations links with the Scandinavian music industry.

Kliff finish strong in Morpeth as Ashton looks to #Ash66

Kliff put in a solid performance in Morpeth Cove to give the nation back-to-back successes at Buzzjackfestivalen.

It is highly likely that Ashton will be sourcing it's next entry from Scandinavia once more as the nations bid for a year of foreign language entries continues.

Ashton's Hopeful's for BJSC XLVIII

The ASC has revealed the three tracks fighting for the rights to represent The Federal Republic of Ashton at the 68th Buzzjack Song Contest in Persephonia. The ASC have said that International reaction to the selection is welcomed.

All three tracks are sung in a foreign language as Ashton enters the 8th month of it's mission to promote Foreign Language entries through it's Risks FTW 3.0 entry strategy

Paw&Lina - Her er Paw&Lina

Alina Devecerski - Armé

Medina - Giv Slip

Medina is a clear veto I should think, though decent. Alina's song is a let down compared to her other singles, the Paw & Lina song is awesome

So you're not tempted to enter this then?

Not until next year

Thanks Rich! Not heard much of Alina but I'm rather loving Armé

Robin ends the Federal Drought!

Finnish pop sensation Robin has brought to an end the Federal Republic's DNQ run securing his place in the LXIX Final in Jamvale. Ashton has missed the last three finals, in a year of poor form for the nation. The ASC and SNÁ are persevering with Risks FTW 3.0 and are aiming to finish it's foreign language decade on a high before the unveiling of the first Risks FTW 4.0 entry.

Robin gives a strong points showing as Ashton wraps up Risks FTW 3.0

Robin finished above predictions outside the bottom 8 in the LXIX final in Jamvale! The SNÁ have today confirmed a Euro-inspired Polish entry for the nations final entry in it's year of foreign language entries. Risks FTW 3.0 has not seen many high achieving tracks but the SNÁ and ASC are reported to be pleased with the response within Ashton to the policy. Sources tell us that the ASC are glad to have stood out from the crowd and gone in it's own direction for Risks FTW 3.0 rather than blindly follow trends desperate for a hit.

Our sources have revealed that Risks FTW 4.0 will start off with a Jazzy number and a Danish dance epic (in English).

Can't believe it's been 4 years since I sent this masterpiece:

Think I'm going to have to return, after this contest, to sending stuff like this. I miss being trashy.

I just found this gem again *.*

X just wasn't Ashvia's moment to shine, I don't know what members were smoking.

I prefer to think that BJSC X did not happen. Was a dark day in Ashvian history for sure.

Can't believe that Headhunted is that old. It's still legendary.

That vile thing shouldn't have even been allowed near the contest, never mind won the thing. It's still the most boring non-entity of a song I've ever had the displeasure to hear.

Holy shit. I've been involved in this contest for like a third of my life.

LXXI Starts off with a Boom!

Featuring Kara of KaraMel fame, The Boom Boom has been selected to be the Federal Representatives at the 71st Buzzjack Song Contest in the Republic of Adonia. With a brand of Trashy Electropop that Ashton made a name for itself with in the late 20's and 30's, Canadian's The Boom Boom are a welcome return for Ashton to the genre. The ASC and SNÁ have selected 'Creature' from 'The Booty and the Beats' EP to be Ashton's 71st entry. You can listen to it below!
