May 14, 201411 yr Tracklist: Nasty Lay Me Down Break Up Song Champion Kill a Man Ain’t Got You Heart Cry Ocean Raise Up Bang Leaving You Cry and Smile 'Ocean' also available to listen to in full as well!
May 16, 201411 yr Pixie's currently filming single two. http://instagram.com/p/oBTuW3lY6S 'Lay Me Down' sounds incredible - judging by the preview I genuinely think it could be a hit. I genuinely think the only single that could potentially work judging by the previews is Champion or 'Heart Cry'. She needs to do more uptempo music like her debut album.
May 16, 201411 yr Althought I like the fact she's experimented with the album, I'm really worried for this release. Ocean sounds very nice thought  Edited May 16, 201411 yr by vivek
May 16, 201411 yr "Lay Me Down" sounds like the best option for the 2nd single. The album sounds pretty good. Better than YFH.
May 17, 201411 yr Really like the sound of the album. I've pre-ordered this from amazon. Doubt it will do well though.
May 17, 201411 yr It's tanked like a rock on itunes. Down 212 places since this morning to #602 I really don't think it's iTunes positions matter right now. "Nasty" was released months ago, no one knows that she even has a new album available to pre-order. Wait till the 2nd single is released and airplay starts for that, then the album should make some impact.
May 17, 201411 yr I'm sure Capital will support it but considering BBC Radio 1 ignored Nasty, I'm really worried for her
May 19, 201411 yr The full version of "Lay Me Down" has leaked and it's seriously good. Very catchy! Edited May 19, 201411 yr by Dillan
May 19, 201411 yr Author It's really nice on first listen and would make a decent single I think. Listen here!
May 19, 201411 yr Lay Me Down actually sounds decent :o Nothing amazing, but I have come to expect that of Pixie. Going to try and pretend Nasty never happened.
May 19, 201411 yr 'Lay Me Down' indeed sounds pretty good. I think 'Nasty' and its promotional campaign did quite a lot of damage to her brand (given that she was already widely perceived to be a dated act that lacks identity) so I think she needs to decide on a cohesive sound (through single choices) and image that'll set her apart in order to be taken seriously again. This song, together with a bit of re-branding, sounds like it has the potential to put her on track towards that. Now if she drops the winking, possessed grinning and her other annoying performance habits and grows an on-camera personality, she could end up having a fairly successful album campaign :P. May 19, 201411 yr Really enjoying "Lay Me Down" on first listen. Very instantly catchy from the first chorus alone and such a step up from "Nasty".

Surely, YGH damaged her brand? I'm a Pixie fan and love her, but the entire album was managed horribly (except All About Tonight).
May 19, 201411 yr Surely, YGH damaged her brand? I'm a Pixie fan and love her, but the entire album was managed horribly (except All About Tonight). Yeah, I probably should have emphasised that 'Nasty' further damaged her brand :). I just think that with the first single from a new album after a significant break from the spotlight, she (and any artist in that position) had somewhat of a clean slate and an opportunity to try a different musical and/or artistic approach - but instead she released 'Nasty', which was obviously an absolutely dreadful idea!
May 19, 201411 yr I have to admit I actually really like 'Lay Me Down'. By far the best thing she has done since her first era.
May 19, 201411 yr It's obvious Pixie wants to go into a motown album rather than releasing full pop / dance songs. I'm sure if she had an album full of 'Turn It Up', 'All About Tonight' 'Kiss The Stars', 'Lay Me Down' it would sell much better - it's a shame that she doesn't release this. I'm not sure how 'Lay Me Down' will do chartwise - I'm sure it's a certain top 5 with Pixie getting a top 10 album - the longevity is the main thing. It will be interesting to see if The Saturdays' can eventually beat Pixie.
