That was brilliant from James, I hope it boosts Gabrielle up iTunes too! :kink:

Obviously the performance of the night was The Power of Love by James Arthur. I agree with Ryan741. I hope it boosts Gabrielle version making her number 1 next week.

I know everyone here hates Christopher, but his rendition of You Raise Me Up was pretty good for his standards.

I've changed my mind and I think Union J will leave tomorrow.

Boredom and being at home with a TV has driven me to watch this for the first time since week one - I think that Baby Jesus comment Nicole made to Jahmene was the highlight  Shockingly weak for a semi final and reminded me why I stopped watching - James Arthur was really good though and I wouldn't at all be surprised to see him going home tomorrow

I'm sure I didn't miss much. Again, I just watched James performances on YouTube. So much better than watching a whole 90 minute show when I'm only looking forward to 6 minutes on average.

That said, I wanted to watch Christopher doing 'Haven't Met You Yet' because of John's comment. That glare of Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa so bored she was reading her notes. Genius!!! :D

Still think either James or Union J will be going home tomorrow. At least Pink will prevent the results show from being a complete waste. :D

It depresses me when you compare this years final four to one of the best last year, Misha B, Amelia Lily, Little Mix and Marcus Collins were all so so much better. (Or was it Janet? I like to pretend she didn't exist).

I think Christopher may have shot himself in the foot by singing Michael Buble. We can hope. I actually thought his rendition of You Raise Me Up was pretty good mind.

I think the final would be a decent talent spectacle if it was the other three left, not amazing but pretty decent.

I only really liked 3 performances last night. One by Union J and two by James

Still think one of Union J or James will leave. Probably Union J with Jahmene winning, Christopher 2nd and James 3rd

I'm thinking Union J could be out tonight, I would rather see Chris going.

Let's hope its not James, the british public thinking he is safe after last night's performance and don't vote.

So James is still as overrated as ever then... I watched 'The Power of Love' on youtube and I'm sorry but I still wasn't impressed (even though it was probably his best performance). Something just irks me about him (as a person and as an "artist"). He's atrocious, although I can see him being moderately successful.

Well, it happened in Week 6 when both James and Ella were in the bottom 2. What is it with Week 6 and these "shock" exits? Do people suddenly get bored 4 weeks into the live finals and don't vote?

I just watched last night's episode of The X Factor and I'll just say that you're all being so harsh on Jahmene. He's an amazing singer! I really want him to get into the finals, because he deserves it! I just feel like people are being a bit cynical about his intentions. OK, I can see why his singing might not be to everyone's taste, but it's an acquired taste, and that's why I like it.

Christopher, on the other hand, does not deserve anything. He's a terrible singer and has a terrible personality! He would be the worst X Factor final finalist ever if he went through. :puke:

James Arthur and Union J were brilliant as per usual. ^_^

And that's my X Factor review for this week! :kink:

This is the wonders of The X Factor.

I'd use that exact same description for James. There's something that appeals to me about James that doesn't about Jahmene. Maybe it's the foregone conclusion that James debut album could potentially have some self penned great original tracks featured. Jahmene will more than likely have an album full of cover version. I'll bet any money that if Jahmene does win The X Factor, his first single post-X Factor will also be a cover version. I'd be gobsmacked if James Arthur's first single was a cover. I'm almost certain he'd release an original track.

So I suppose that's why I like James more than Jahmene. James knows what music he wants to release already (unless he wins X Factor then SyCo will screw him over Matt Cardle style). Jahmene is too naive to know what he wants so will become a string puppet popstar (nu Leon Jackson). It's more than just how they perform on the show (people can argue that both of them sound in pain when they perform), it's more about what they will contribute to the UK music industry in 2013, and I'm convinced James will make the bigger impact.

It's scary how i was talking to my housemate about this exact same thing. Word for word :o

James Arthur is my favourite contestant though, so it's not exclusively mutual! But I know what you mean.

However, I kind of don't want James Arthur to win. This is because Syco will f*** his chances up. So, I'm rooting for Christopher to win! :cheer: (even though I hate him -_-)
