Actually, it's not. This B>E>A>K is from Newcastle, and pre-dates the Portishead side-project, although Kehaar is from 2012.

I mentioned before that I made a mistake. B>E>A>K and BEAK> are two different bands. Still, WTH both bands used the same damn > symbol? :D

12th, very pleased with that for my first contest. :D And nice to see that Freeze loved my track about as much as I loved his.

Some nice discoveries, I scored everything I voted for at least 7.5/10, better quality than I likely expected.

Why are Bre and Leww so critical of my track?

They're just jealous because it was one of the best there.

alin is a MEANIE

Hold on, I didn't call your song crap... ;)

You, on the other side...

Well, I hung onto that by the skin of my teeth :o Very pleased to get another top 10 finish and to go over 100 points, thanks to everyone who voted the New Division & congrats Hits! I think I may prefer this contest to BJSC :P

Yeah, you should have done a little better considering people were expecting you to win but excellent seeing you get a top 10 after it seemed almost everyone was giving you low points as I received them. And I'm sure Kids would have got you a new peak in BJSC too, it's really good.

And I can't believe you and I gave Young Dreams nearly half its points.

When it will be the next competition? Next year?

I have a catchy song prepared and I can't wait to see it winning. :D :D

Well done, Hits. I must go and listen to it again - I can't remember how it goes.
Need to go and find another song that won't completely bomb now. No sweat.

Where's RFC to do the fun geeky stats and chart runs bit when you need him?

I dont want to see my chart run any more.

Need to go and find another song that won't completely bomb now. No sweat.

How does one do that? I'm at a loss as to finding a song that will do well.

Just read through the entire thing...wow. Didn't expect to finish 5th with B>E>A>K. I thought that after finishing last with something incredibly niche, sending something else incredibly niche would go down like a lead balloon, but evidently not. Thank you all.

Also, grrr to Bre for sending in Sea Creatures by SOAK., although I'm vindicated by the fact that I still finished higher than it (although I had intended to send the original rather than the remix). I'm interested to know how you came across her in the first place.

@AnthonyT:

So, This Club - 'I Won't Worry' was your masterpiece. TBH it sounds almost like any other song from UP11.

:D

The reason I thought you'd like it is because you've been creating your own dance music over the last 12 months and sending me links to have a listen to your tracks. You said you'd discovered a new love for dance music because of the techniques used in the production (ie; creating layers of sounds to build up a track). That's exactly what I get from 'Vōs-Sākō-Rv (Vocal Edit)'. I honestly didn't think it'd win though.

The winner is a catchy disco song. Remember about my theory with catchy songs winning? :P

Be sure you send something catchy. Tracks that require multiple listens to understand have lower chances...

I defied my own advice intentionally by sending a pretty heavy song that required at least 3 listens... -_-

Grats to Hits and thx to Eyes. :)

In the end, I got the expected bottom 10 result. Thx for everybody who voted for Witchcraft.

Oh and surely Zech would be Tying Tiffany?

I hope you weren't serious.

That was super obvious. If it's a token 'heavy' song it must be Zech.

Now I'm tempted to send a really "heavy" song next time. :D

Karma at work there - I stole your song so I finish lower than you. Though I'm not sure if the original would have done better or worse, I've not actually even listened to it, only the remix. I was aware you tried to send SOAK but I was still not expecting 20 from you since it's a different version and all! Muchas gracias.

As for how I came across her, I point you to the fact SOAK was added to the Radio 1 playlist Introducing list shortly after UP confirmation opened and you can figure it out from there.

What a contrast coming last in BJSC 50 and now winning UP 11 after not even taking part last time. :o

Gonna gives congratz to Chris though, so so close in 2nd. :(

Switched places with Tom Kay, who finished last in this having just won BJSC :o

Well done Hits, my second favourite song in this edition so pleased with that!

I won't dwell on my bottom five, I was expecting last! Glad a few people liked it, or in the case of Tony, tolerated it more than most of the rest!
