Besides Ollie this is a stunning top 5

01. Gabrielle Aplin - The Power Of Love

02. Olly Murs & Flo Rida - Troublemaker

03. Bruno Mars - Locked Out Of Heaven

04. Labrinth & Emeli Sande - Beneath Your Beautiful

05. One Direction - Little Things

The official Top 10s recently for me has been really good, except One Direction.

I don't usually like 1D but Little Things works for me. Sure, them singing it makes it sound so much more exploitative of the low self esteem in teen girls like What Makes You Beautiful but the song in isolation is a pretty little thing.
Why are people so surprised at Warrior not charting? If you think about it, it hasn't had very much promotion at all and Ke$ha doesn't really have a big fanbase to shift albums, like Tulisa (sort of) does.

The Power of Love is gonne be my birthday number 1 then, not bad, I would've slightly preferred something original there...I didn't know the original was selling enough to be top 40! I know I said that I wasn't keen on it before, but everytime I listen to it, I find I do really like it. I guess I'd love it if it was a little bit shorter.

and I'm not sure if others have noticed, but its worth noting that Tulisa doesn't seem to be doing very well :o

To be fair, the reason I dislike it so much is because of Ed Sheeran's writing "skills", not really One Direction themselves.

Not when you have LOOH and LT on the list :coffee:

I wasn't expecting Warrior to go top 10 like her first album, but not even in the top 40 is quite shocking IMO. :( I agree her fanbase isn't that big in this country, but it was big enough to warrant a UK leg on her tour last year. From the Music Purchases thread on here it seems like a lot of people on here bought it.

To think more people has bought Rita Ora's album so far this week than Kesha is crazy, when Rita's album has already been out 15 weeks and isn't really considered successful.

Maybe parents don't want to buy it as a present to their children because they consider her a bad role model or something.

It seems to have even more 'naughty' words than Lana's. :P

It's pretty obvious she isn't returning next year. :(

She will return next year. Simon Cowell likes her even after the sex tape scandal so if she wants to come back next year then she will.

Think we can clearly say SHE won't be returning next year. This year looks set to be the least watched final.I think Simon will return and might keep Louis but will defo be new panel next year.

I think the show will have a big revamp next year. I expect Simon to be more involved, Mel B to be the big nasty bitch judge that has been missing since Simon left.

i dont think Kylie is too far off the top 40 and since these midweeks only take into account until close on Tuesday, she is consistently selling on itunes.... was 94th on Monday and now she is bouncing 48-55 on itunes and gone up on Amazon. I can see her catching up and grabbing maybe 40th spot... Her x-factor appearance will help sales next week. She prob wont sing until 9pish on Saturday and the charts close at 12 midnight... doubt many sales until Sunday..... I fear HMV are letting her down.... get her in the promotions etc.....

Meanwhile Santa Baby is 59p on itunes and is zooming up.... now 82nd on itunes.... could Kylie get another top 100 week from this song. Lots of albums for xmas etc feature this Kylie version so add them all together and she cud do really well this week.

On A Night Like This is 315th on itunes... can xfactor on Saturday push this to a top 100 position next week???

If the album gets boosted on iTunes after the performance, the few hours between when the chart closes could help it go up a couple of chart positions, every little helps and that! :P But yeah, the album will obviously be boosted more the following week.

So pleased to see Olly will hopefully make it two weeks with 'Right Place Right Time'. It'll make up for 'Troublemaker' not getting a third week anyway. I prefer the original of 'The Power of Love' so much more!

Bloody James Arthur denying Murs a double double with his performance! Nevermind, his album holding number 1 for two weeks is a another first for him! I doubt he will hold off Buble next week though.
