I've just seen this interview with Krista from what I think was the London Eurovision Preview Party and she has such a fantastic personality, so hilarious! You can also tell how much of a Eurovision fan she is and how happy she is to represent her country!

And here is Krista meeting Bonnie today (I think)! I love Krista so much, so much energy and you can tell how pleased she is to be there!

  • 2 weeks later...

the single is 59 on the UK midweek charts:)

The UK record buyers voted with their wallet, and these are the Top 10 bought:

10 ONLY TEARDROPS EMMELIE DE FOREST DENMARK

37 TOMORROW GIANLUCA BEZZINA MALTA

42 YOU ROBIN STJERNBERG SWEDEN

46 I FEED YOU MY LOVE MARGARET BERGER NORWAY

48 EUPHORIA LOREEN SWEDEN

59 MARRY ME KRISTA SIEGFRIDS FINLAND

77 GLORIOUS CASCADA GERMANY

83 BIRDS ANOUK THE NETHERLANDS

84 WHAT IF DINA GARIPOVA RUSSIA

86 BELIEVE IN ME BONNIE TYLER UK

Proves a good point regarding our own entry though - we're quick to complain if we don't do as well as we want, but Bonnie has the 10th highest charting song in her own country, behind people like Gianluca Bezzina and Krista Siegfrids who are completely unknown to the UK public.

Krista has released the music video for her next single 'Amen!':

Her album is incredibly good. Money and Seventeen are killer pop tracks, the latter is even more Katy Perry-esque than Marry Me.

It sounds like something Lady GaGa might have done had she not become a pretentious cunt!

She is truly amazing and I am going to have to hunt down this album! #TeamDingDong

Too true - if we cant even be bothered to support our own entries, why should anyone else! Essentially, if the UK had been able to vote for itself we still would only have got one extra point:)

Why UK dislike their last ESC participants so much ?

They don't dislike them, they just appeal to older people, and older people don't download singles they buy albums (if they buy any music), and they don't pick up the phone to vote either. Eurovision is about young enthusiastic people and the BBC needs to stop trying to appeal to the UK viewer and start appealing to the voters just to shut up the ongoing Daily mail complainers convinced it's all those pesky foreigners sabotaging our marvellous entries due to politics (even though the UK votes for exactly the same entrants as everyone else).

Krista has announced on Twitter that she will be performing on Big Brother UK (I presume 'Bit on the Side') on Sunday July 7th! :o

From Krista's site :

Next week you’ll get to see “Can You See Me” music video. It’s gonna be completely different from the other ones. Very simple, plain and beautiful. Stay tuned… Until then, watch Amen and dance one more time

Krista about "Can You See Me" :

Krista explains the meaning to her simplistic new release on a post published earlier on her Facebook page “This is the song that I wrote to my dear father who passed away when I was 15. I miss him so much. It still hurts, but we have to learn to live with the sorrow. This song is really important to me and I hope you will like it. If you have ever lost somebody you love, I hope this song can comfort you and help you to move on ?”

I heard this a few months ago when it was initially released and I really liked it. I don't prefer it to 'Marry Me' but it's still a great pop song!
