I love you man, you're my favourite here :) and yap, Unfaithful was her first TRUE song that I liked...

And yap... Damien is a legend, a girl band to do a cover? WTF. This James last minute >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> shountlle version. Damien is Untouchable classic unlike Shountlle.

Haha why thank you. I only liked Rihanna as just another mildly interesting pop artist until 'Unfaithful'. I was obsessed with that song throughout the summer of 2006 and then with 'Umbrella' a year later. Although I can't listen to the latter anymore due to severe overplay.

Yeah I don't really know why they chose 'Cannonball' out of all the Damien Rice songs. But then I don't know what I would've chosen. None of them are really that kind of song.

01. Impossible - James Arthur

13. Impossible - Shontelle

15. Kiss You - One Direction

20. Stay (feat. Mikky Ekko) - Rihanna

25. Clown - Emeli Sandé

55. Kiss You - One Direction

57. We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris) - Rihanna

Wowzers, I wasn't expecting James Arthur's track to rocket to #1 on iTunes that fast. Military Wives 'Wherever You Are' was the last track I remember achieving this on UK iTunes.

Not like they wanted to cover that in the first place :coffee:

James Arthur's version of "Impossible" is so stressful. Good thing the original version is also in the chart

Wrong choice... I don't blame them... but I don't like them anyway.

James give this song so much emotion that the original hasn't so I like it better.

It be great if we get a Impossible top 2 next week, 2008 we had an Hallelujah top 2

I went to the Caribbean in summer 2006. They stanned HARD for Rihanna there. I heard SOS and Unfaithful a lot. Hips Don't Lie and Temperature aswell. 2006 has some great summer tunes.

James Arthur 'Impossible' is a hell of a lot better than Jahmene Douglas 'Let It Be' but both of them would be horrific #1s. Lesser of two evils!

Addicted to 'Stay'. Such a beautiful song.

And she's improved vastly since I saw her live a few years ago.

Yes she performed realy good tonight.

I saw Rihanna perform on her Loud tour in late 2011 and she was brilliant. And I'm not being biased either - I can easily say her performance on Dance X in 2007 was a minor car crash. :D

I saw her on her Good Girl Gone Bad tour in 2007 and I can honestly say that supporting act Ciara was better.

Well it's not impossible :P

^ The difference being that "Hallelujah" is one of the greatest songs ever written, and with the greatest of respect, "Impossible" isn't. Not even close.
Well it's not impossible :P

:basil:

Shontelle - Impossible  #13

Kiss You  #16 - much prefer this song to the other two released so far this era!

Stay  #22

Clown  #26

James' lead is huge! :o

1. Impossible 100%

2. Scream and Shout 28%

will.i.am isn't selling THAT much (probably around 70k-for-the-week level?) so James' lead is hardly shocking. It obviously won't be sustained through the week although he might hold up better than Little Mix I think.
