Don't forget, 'Dancing On Ice' tonight. They're performing ('Change Your Life' we presume) and I don't know whether it'll be in 5 mins or 50 mins. So just keep your eyes peeled :P

Agreed with everyone, loved the performance. It's hard to believe that Jade couldn't speak at the start of this week and that Perrie just recently had her tonsils taken out. Now just waiting for this video to eventually get released!

I did not know about the two things you mentioned about the girls! It makes sense now as to why everything had slowed down and they'd done no promotion for this single, up until now.

It's different (for them), isn't it? I think they're still trying to find their sound/niche as it's only album #1. 'Wings' has so far, obviously worked the best for them, so I think they'll play more to that strength and sound with the next era. This single is very radio friendly and I can see it being a reasonably big radio hit, even if it only peaks at something like #17 or whatever.

 

More importantly though, it'll sell the album, so it'll be good for them. Also, I assume the next single will be released in time for 'Britain's Got Talent' (hopefully 'Turn Your Face') and then they'll be back, October time with the lead single from album #2 (depending on how things go in the US - 'Wings' will take off there I reckon).

I think it's very british pop and different to the americanised DNA, which is good.

I feel as if the song fills a gap in the market about songs that inspire and help others. And that's why I love the song so much. :wub:

Not in an obvivous sense. We had a phrase of unsubtle empowerment anthems back in 2010/2011, with Firework and Perfect. We haven't had many since then though. :lol:

People are quick to criticise them for their empowerment songs, but personally I much prefer that than yet another song about getting hammered in a club. I don't want them to overdo it though of course, but as they get older there songs will turn much more to about love and heartbreak so I'm just enjoying them for now. There both great songs regardless for me.
