Well... I didn't see that coming  and I was picking some people that left the house, when the rest of the likely suspects were in the Branning house. So much for a Derek whodunnit, in a way its better so they wouldn't string the plot into April or something.

Overall great episode, I was glued to the TV set watching that.

I'd much rather it dragged on than be over and done with in one night! :P The next episode will be boring as hell!

I guess the reason why they didn't decide to drag it on though is because they've already done that recently with "who's shagging Kat?" story.

Kat is suddenly great again.

It was a very good ep. I'm still digesting it really. It was VERY dark and full of misery which I'm sure will put some people off. I really like Kirsty and she's sticking around for a while yet according to DS.

I loved that episode but by god the ending was awful! It felt so anticlimactic with the dodgy acting after his heart attack.

Joey needs to die next. He's just like a glamourised bodyguard that just pouts in the background of every shot.

Agree with Jark that Kat is now (and has always been) amazing  Also really loving Lauren too.

His heart attack reminded me of this:

R.I.P Derek Branning 1960-2012

Jamie Foreman was the best actor on the programme i think.

Also that Kirsty Branning woman is quite fit apart from her lips.

 Definitely! (Extra love for the Toy Story gif usage )

Ew! Have standards Pablo!! Give me Lauren anyday :w00t:

When Roxy first came i fancied her so much.

I still do! She's got that raw/gritty but not skanky look going on

I didn't really like the episode. The first half was decent, until Kirsty turned up and then that just seemed to drag on for thirty minutes with not much happening/explained before Derek died (I still don't know how). The most disappointing Christmas Day episode that I've ever watched (2007-present).

...Derek died (I still don't know how)...

You can't possibly be that thick Theo. I think it's pretty evident that he had a heart attack. (Unless of course they throw a twist in later and reveal he was poisoned.)

The original one from the first Toy Story is better, but I couldn't find it. :( Yay, Toy Story gifs are the best! :cheer:

I think she's quite fit too. B-) Although at the moment, her attitude is quite disgusting (they way she has no respect whatsoever for Tanya).

It was overall a very Christmas episode, but the end was VERY jump the shark! The heart attack was definitely just like that Toy Story scene, it was ridiculous really  I suppose a whodunnit that lasts until Christmas 2015 or something would've been worse but still... I was waiting for Kat to just push him over and him hit his head or something at least

To be fair to Theo it took me a few seconds to realise what was happening

They didn't need a whodunnit story, but someone could have at least killed him! The heart attack was just the easy way out.

Nobody really had a strong enough motive to murder him. And I'd rather another character wasn't ruined by becoming a murderer.

I thought I someone stabbed him! It was very bizarre!

Thank you, and I agree! It would've been the perfect way to be rid of Joey once and for all (although his "dad!" was the most heartbreaking/best thing about the episode).

I was disappointed? Was anyone else able to write Max's lines almost word for word in his defense to Tanya and Kirsty. It was text-book Max.
I thought it was a good episode, Derek was far more human than he's been in a long time. The death was a bit anti-climactic yes, but I suppose it was a nice curveball if nothing else. Can't say I'm not hoping that someone poisoned him but I know that's not going to happen.
