In previous years, the gift card effect made the week-after-Christmas chart rather exciting. I'm not sure what it is about this year, but I'm finding it dull this time around. *Shrug*

I agree, it doesn't seem to be as drastic as last year (apart from perhaps there being two versions of Gangnam Style making the top 10). It's also looking like it'll be the first time in years that the year-end #1 doesn't re-enter the top 40 from the gift cards.

But I also remember the past couple of years the official charts looking completely different to how I thought they'd be based on iTunes.

The music that they play in clubs sounds brilliant! I can't wait to go to one! :D

At my age, I'd rather *be* clubbed, than go to one.

Oricon getting rather excited at the possibility of a PSY return to no. 1 :D

Unlikely - it'll be James Arthur who returns to #1.

ANYTHING to see King PSY at #1 is welcomed here.

Anything *not* to see it at #1, for me. ;)

Also:

119. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars :coffee: Coming for 1 million sales!

Just waiting for all the Xmas songs to drop away.

The one thing we can't tell from the pop.bars is how large the effect on sales has been - I would guess between 1/4 & 1/3 increase overall.

Big gift card boost for McFly - 'Love Is Easy' is having a very random chart run for a McFly single - 10-31-33-45-37-91-?

Which beneficiary from the iTunes voucher effect has suprised you most?
Stay  #9 :cheer:

Beneath Your Beautiful  #10

Candy  #11

Gangnam Style  #12

THANK GOD!

Personally I was surprised by Candy, I didn't expect it to return top 10! Although, Top of the Pops would have given it an extra little push, I still didn't think it was that big a hit.

Which would put the chart run for will.i.am. and Britney as 2-3-2

I WANT TO SEE THIS DELETED POST.
There should be a 'trash can' where all the deleted posts go  I always miss loads :nocheer:

It would basically just be filled with Evil Escobar's posts.
