Oh it's by no means BAD or shameful, but it's let down hugely by its chorus. And the backing singers need to go. I wish him the best of luck but I'm not expecting it to qualify.

~ le sigh ~

Well to be fair, not many of the other country's songs so far are putting up much of a fight. If we entered this last year I'd be more worried, the overall quality last year was very high.

I suppose we'll have to see what the remaining countries bring to the table.

Trying to re-create Euphoria imo! :P It's not too bad, better than having Jedward for the third year!
Was Leanne Moore one the backing singers, she looks like her if it wasnt, this is the same leanne who was backing singer for jedward on both years.
From the clips of the songs they played from other entries last night on the show i think Denmark will do very well.
I dont like the Irish entry at all, its screams cheap and the chorus is excruciatingly weak.

I've had it on repeat now for a while. I don't listen to a lot of that kind of music, but there is just something about this song that I really like. I think it may have a strong chance.

Edit: Hmm. I listened to Friday's live version again and the backing vocals almost ruined the chorus! The studio version is stronger. I hope the backing vocals aren't as loud on the night, or maybe they should even get rid of them altogether. The studio version is addictive though.

The studio version is indeed much stronger which suggests they have plenty of work to do before semi final 1.
I don't think this will have any problem qualifying. Chorus isn't great, but it's catchy enough to get the votes.
While it is a better song than the UK entry it wont do great. It will be a non event for both countries this year.

This song has grown on me, i have gave it a few listens and it should qualify.
Seems to be charting in Sweden's iTunes chart, top 50 at the moment after it was praised on one of their ESC preview shows :o
That sounds promising for votes from Sweden for Ireland. No more than the UK i think Ireland will manage top 20 finish on the night i can see Ireland and UK beside each other in the scoring board with both finishing top 15.
Apparently he is going down a storm on a promotional trip to Russia and they had to get extra security. If true it may get Ireland a vote or 2. I havnt seen this in the UK itunes yet.
His performances are so much better without the backing singers. I really hope they stay away. :(

I'm not ruling out a top ten placing for this... though a lot rests on the performance. He'll need to tear the arse out of it on the night!

He performed on the late ate show last night here in Ireland, there are some good parts in it and his vocal was excellent but im not sold on the presentation of the song so i hope they really add spice to it in Malmo. Its not a song i would overly go for myself but i will always support my own country so i wish him well with it.

He was a good bit better on the late late show last week.

I think we have a fair shot at qualifying on Tuesday (after all we're in a perfect performing slot too) but I'm not sure if we'll get that good a result in the final.
