Following tonight's episode, I don't think Sonny will be dead. It was just some fluffy pink handcuffs that kept him attached to the car rather than the real deal, and with him being a policeman (and this being Hollyoaks) he'd have been able to find some way to get out of the situation.

I've found they've ruined the Patrick/Maxine storyline with Patrick basically getting away with it.

 

Hollyoaks in general has taken a turn for the worst after an excellent 2013 and first part of 2014. :(

Exactly! f***ing Diane has to be THE most annoying character in soap/on TV in general, she's insufferable :drama: and Finn is hardly any better. We waited so long for Finn to be found out, he'd better get his comeuppance and not get away with it/paint John Paul as the bad one with his lies! Ugh.

 

I agree about Patrick and Maxine too. Maybe they don't want to let Jeremy Sheffield go but like the Finn story, letting him off has ruined it and just makes it feel like he's winning. Such an amazing story but once it came out at the wedding it's just fizzled out aside from one or two scenes where they really do give the impression that he's won, like when he's still manipulating Maxine over the baby.

I just cant believe this is the same show that got Hannah's anorexia storyline done to perfection.
