to be fair I think she can be a brillaint actress at times, particularly around when she saw finn's true colours and ended up turning on him. I just really dislike diane as a character. still, stephanie davis, anna passey and kirsty-leigh porter would have been better options alongside the other two though.

leaving, about time! like I said though, I can see the storyline

making people feel sorry for him, despite all that he's done. I always hoped he'd go out being killed off by sienna or even maxine.

 

as for what's going on right now, tom f***s me RIGHT off. he always has, but even more than usual right now. the storyline is doing my head in so much.

I can't at the writing with this Kim thing. She just morphs into a psycho stalker in the space of like a week :lol: I knew there had to be something more to that Grace kiss though tbf. I'm fully expecting Celine to be the gloved hand killer as she seems to be the only one left without a "SHOCKING SECRET" or dark side....

Kim gives me life though :lol: As random as her transformation into a stalker psycho was.

I think Scott has just taken the crown from Diane as my least favourite character - beyond irritating.

completely agree on lindsey, such an annoying cow. I thought her whole personality transplant caused her to only be terrible when involved with freddie but even recently she's proved to be vile without him. the way she treats kim is so patronising, it's unbelievable how she can act so high-and-mighty after everything she's done! not sure if I'd go as far as to say she's as bad as freddie but those two are easily the worst there right now.

 

in fact, my bottom 10 right now would be:

 

01: lindsey (all the reasons listed above, plus sophie austin's acting ability has gotten worse, it's like that constant confused/disgusted facial expression is frozen that way!)

02: freddie (how charlie clapham was nominated for best actor at the soap awards this year is far beyond me! that and the fact that the character has no moral fibre whatsoever and has the most ridiculous and unrealistic lines just makes it strange how the soap just shove him and his fiancee down our throats every week...)

03: tom (he's been an utter selfish knob throughout the whole pregnancy storyline with peri. he's always been irritating but it's the way he's basically guilt-tripped her into keeping the baby that's pissed me off. he seems to think that he's this big grown up mature man when he still looks like a toddler. even when he agreed to let peri put the baby up for adoption it just seemed like he gave up reluctantly.)

04: nancy (the whole thing with kim had nothing to do with her and she still felt the need to blab, I just can't stand how much she feels like she needs to stick her nose into everything, never liked the character but she seems to never do herself any favours!)

05: diane (her treatment of tegan was disgusting. the way she seems to think that denying a bone marrow transplant for a dying woman and then claiming custody for a child that she hasn't raised along with a child that isn't even hers is justified by 'doing what's right for the kids' is completely out of order. thank god she came to her senses but still, so irritating.)

06: frankie (like nancy, sticks her nose in everything that doesn't concern her and when it seems as if she's learnt her lesson, makes another xenophobic remark later on.)

07: tony (so cringey, desperate and deluded. he can be quite likeable but recently he's just been following in diane's shadow when she clearly doesn't love him anymore.)

08: jason (the actor is still awful and the character is just constantly dull. is there even one moment when he's actually brought some joy to the soap?)

09: cameron (just annoys me a lot of the time, I can't pinpoint exactly why but I just think he needs to pipe down, he gets aggressive far too easily.)

10: simone (may not have been around for long but god, I know she isn't supposed to be likeable but she's only been here for a couple of months and is already speaking down to everyone else.)

 

special mentions to holly, harry and zack. holly because of how annoyingly indecisive she can be, and harry and zack because of the awful acting despite being 'okay' characters.

 

my favourites, however:

 

01: mercedes (needs to return full-time as soon as! even those little scenes in france that we were shown she has proven to still be gold. hopefully she'll be back within the next couple of week what with the frindsey wedding coming up! (well there's got to be at least one good thing to come out of that scenario...))

02: sienna (adored her before and after her return, even despite her treatment of theresa. anna passey's acting is incredible and the way her character is played is just flawless. so entertaining!)

03: celine (such a fun and bubbly character, and so caring! shame she's not shown as much as her older sister as imo she's the one with more potential!)

04: tegan (she's really shone over the last few months, jessica ellis' acting has been incredible imo! I wish her and ziggy would finally get together, although if this happens I hope leela finds someone other than cameron to be with.)

05: kim (the whole stalker transformation has actually made me love her even more! it's made her even more interesting for me and I love how we're being shown different layers to the character day by day. she's better than her terrible sister for sure!)

06: dylan (the character is brilliant imo! comes out with some great one-liners and I'm intrigued to see how the cross-dressing storyline is portrayed! also I love the scenes with him, nico and peri! just goes to show how good the schoolie bunch are without tom.)

07: nico (so sweet! I love her relationship with sienna and how she seems to be the voice of reason in most scenes. I don't think the actress is any way near as bad as everyone makes out either.)

08: grace (I love how much the character has developed and how much she's rose to become one of my favourites after seeing how well layered her character is! she's unpredictable with her storylines and tamara wall's acting is brilliant)

09: sinead (even though I think that the whole falling in love with ste thing is a bit much, sinead will always be a favourite of mine. even when she's supposed to be unlikeable I can't help but love her, stephanie davis is incredible.)

10: darren (funny how much a character can change and become far more interesting when splitting up with one of the most annoying characters in the village! I've found him so much more likeable recently and I hope the romance with maxine is given a chance.)

 

also loving leela, cindy, ziggy, peri, theresa, trevor, esther, ste, maxine and cleo, so while there's a lot of deadwood in the soap right now at least there are some characters that make this worth watching still!

IKR <3 most spectacular scene of the soap awards.

I'm guessing that the next murder is going to be Mercedes, it was spoiled by somebody within the team that their exit was changed and their exit was meant to be a while ago but they've moved it to this.

 

I'm guessing that the next murder will be Pheobe , Mercedes or Rennee. I'm still predicting Tegan to be the murderer and I really hope that she is.

 

Hollyoaks right now is such a mess and there's next to no hype for this storyline or any other storyline.

They cannot kill the only good thing going for them.

If they brought Mercedes back again just to kill her it would be the biggest mistake this show's made (during the time I've been watching at least).

I'm still not over what they did to Clare - and that was when the show was good!

I can't see them doing what they did with clare with mercedes, it's a terrible idea in every way and clare's death didn't do her character any justice whatsoever. I think it's between phoebe and theresa; the former is running out of direction and has become rather deadwood, and the latter after the storyline with patrick I can see being in a similar position, unless if perhaps she still stays close with the blake family unit once patrick is dead.
