August 17, 200618 yr Over 2000 posts is great. ^_^ Especially seen as their are a lot less regular poster in here compared to other OF's on the board.
August 17, 200618 yr Author Well sometimes I feel it's only you and me :lol: but we do have TheOrdinaryArcticBoy, Scotty, Jester and topshop princess too sometimes ^_^ I keep trying to promote but it's harder for a rock OF considering this site is looks biased towards Pop and everything however considering the competition we've done great and we've both been in here more since I appointed you as my co-mod and we could compete on our own I believe. :lol:

August 17, 200618 yr Author Well we'll just have to be like the others and keep it going with games and maybe a bit of spam ;) I always search around anyway and remember they are playing the festivals so I'm sure I'll find videos at least :D Only about 100 posts and we'll be the biggest Rock OF on here once again anyway. :cheer:

Oh yeah its Leeds / Reading next week. ^_^ I totally forgot about that. :doh: and it is only about 100 odd plus posts until we over take Gorrilaz / Blur. ^_^

August 18, 200618 yr I could have gone to Leeds but I passed up the oppotunity. :( I had other things I needed to buy so meh. I think I might actually go and buy NME this week then. ^_^ As much as people slate it it does have some good information in it and everything.
August 18, 200618 yr Author I've entered LOADS of competitions to try and go to Reading and Leeds but I've had no luck :( I've always liked the NME as it's always interesting and full of info :D I find out about loads of bands and hear them and form MY OWN OPINION on them ^_^ (I emphasise that because some people on here think that people buy certain artists because they like them -_- ) I found out about the Arctics before they were raving about them but was pleased when they started backing them. :dancing:

Most people think the most Arctics fans only jumpred on the bandwagon becuase NME did, which is totally unture and now they "hype" has died down people are writing them offbecuase there only #4 in the midweeks. -_- #4 for a indie band is brilliant. Even though the single isnot on the album, not everyone knows that and it hasn't exactly been getting the same about of airplay as Shakira or The Egg. -_-
August 18, 200618 yr Author Exactly, the "hype" came from the fans that discovered them after downloading the demos from the sheriff and bought the tickets to sell out reasonable venues before they were even signed ^_^ I may have had my rants this week as I feel the songs above aren't as good but #4 is great for ANY indie band and most indie bands who sell a million albums don't even get that high in the singles chart so you can't judge their apparent downfall from this can you -_- I think they'll be top three by the end of the week anyway. ;)

It just depends what people say ie the hype has died down and they'll be knowbody's in a year's time. :angry: Its like when people diss Radio 1's playlist cause it doesn't play Shakira. :angry: The people who complain don't listen to Radio 1 so I don't see the problem. -_- I do tend not to really post in the chart forum for that reason as I strongly disagree with a lot of people's posts.
August 18, 200618 yr Author Well some people do have weird taste on here :lol: and some people think making music is all about #1s too :rolleyes: There is no reason not to post in the chart forum as there is always opinions you'll disagree with and so there's no harm in sometimes challenging them or putting your own opinion in there too ;) As I keep saying Radio 1's playlist has variation hence why they don't play songs that EVERYONE likes -_-
August 18, 200618 yr Its just really the Sunday Chart Show thread I don't like to post in. I'll post in it while the chart is still on the Radio, but its the after show party that I don't like. -_- Its basically when people just rip into songs that they don't like, and well I just can't really be bothered with an argument. Thats the best thing about radio 1; its variation. On the whole i'd say 95% of the stuff they playlist I can listen too and do actually like. Anyhowz i'm gonna go to bed now. :P
