i predictably love most of what is in this countdown, it really highlights the good amount of music that comes out of the contest

Loooads of highlights here in terms of other entries so I won't list them all, but everything in the top 20 so far is great. The Magic Key should have done so much better than it did.

"The Years" is another glorious track from the Eledan camp, and one that still somehow grows on me more on random occasions. fabulous discovery!

this final batch of 2 for tonight sees the FARC comeback entry/winner 'Artifice' finish at #11, a smooth and ultimately likeable indietronica track, with an oddly nostalgic touch, for me anyway. N DNTN's final appearance comes with the catchy and somewhat sophisticated 'Broken Flowers' in 12th place. been finally getting into Danny's recent single 'In My Dreams', so i'll be keeping a firm eye on any future output from him~

10 Orbital (ft. Lady Leshurr) "Wonky" [Aeroche]

Aeroche's rather unconventional hip-hop/breakbeat entry "Wonky" was a huge standout in its contest (and that video is AMAZING, mainly cos cats themselves are amazing :3), this is their 3rd-highest appearance, will either of their remaining 2 be the winner?

 

9 Josef Salvat "Open Season" [Republic of Adonia]

the Adonian Republic just recently grabbed their first victory in their (as of right now) 6-month tenure in bjsc (that's as long as it took Trifoski to get their first win :magic: though of course Open Season was a much more convincing winner than So High~), with this slick, breezy track from up & comer Josef Salvat

one of pc music's defining moments. and also one of the most disgraceful DNQs of the year (we'll get to another of those in a sec ^.^).

 

6 Watermat "Bullit" [Yehesi]

as with most of the remaining tracks i'll be saying more about Bullit in my proper End of Year chart very soon~ (yes *spoilers*, it's in there too). this song was a former #1 for me, and while it wasn't really a 'discovery' in a sense, it's still awesome enough to manage a comfortable top 10 place here. carry on spinnin' Yehesi *.*

 

5 BABYMETAL "Megitsune" [séyetana]

All the Evil Of This World is good too, slightly different for Aeroche but still fits in with their style, I gave it a few points.

the emotional trance anthem RAMelia sticks in our affections enough to land the #2 spot, perhaps the best Rontvian entry we've heard to date (unless we're forgetting a majorly obvious one). huge thanks to Rich for this discovery, we're proud to call this one of our favourite entries of the year :'(
