I'm glad it's climbing. I would like it to enter the top 15 on Sunday now. (and obviously LOVE it if it goes top 10 on the release week)

I think the fact that JT's album is getting released a day after WAU will benifit because even though Mirrors will more than likely have two versions chart, he will probably see a sales decrease due to the fact that the album is available and anyone with sense (if they like Mirrors) would listen to the album and buy it. As for Bruno, he's a VERY consistent seller and will more than likely only increase sales-wise over the coming weeks therefore making 'When I Was Your Man' The Sats biggest threat. They've already sold 2,500 physical copies of WAU , presumably 3,000 now so that's an advantage Mr. Mars hasn't got. Judging by promotion and airplay that 'Ready Or Not' has received so far (very little) and the fact that Bridgit Mendler is a Disney channel star yet she still managed a top 10 (No. 8) and probably a second week in the top 10 (if you consider her position on iTunes and the fact that she's climbing) I think The Sats, who have had a show receiving over 100,000 viewers recently, to 10 tv airplay, decent radio airplay, America hype, Sean Paul on board, this morning and daybreak interviews and a yet-to-come Alan Carr (popular show although didn't do anything for MHTO partly because it was performed years beofore the release) interview and performance SHOULD be able to snatch the number 1 spot. I think the smartest thing for them to do is to add WAU the solo version onto iTunes (the day of release) as a single therefore those who have already re-ordered the EP will have to buy the single if they desire a sats only version this will benifit in the iTunes singles chart and the albums chart increasing sales and making it more likely to be a number one! As for new competition... There is none. Unless Beyonce surprises us all with the shock release of her new song (I an actually see that happening) ten there is no reason this song shouldn't get a number one. Nobody thought Boomerang would touch the top 5 on iTunes and would barely make the top ten however Nicole's doing it (somehow)? Also, I like to look at how many ratings something has on iTunes in hopes that may give a very ROUGH indication on how the item is doing. Laura Mvula's sing to the moon managed to get 101 reviews BEFORE it was released and The Sats will be well into the 160's if not 170's come release week, sing to the moon charted at #9 and albums generally get more reviews than singles which means that WAU is getting quite a lot of pre-orders, this means that if Laura can gets top 10, The Sats can GET a top 5! If they play their cards right they will guarantee a number 1, if they laze about like typical Sats release weeks are like I'll say a number 3 possibly numer 2 because of JT's album released but ultimately behind Bruno. Anyway I REALLY love this song and think it deserves to go to numer 1 SOOO bad, I'm keeping everything crossed for this release and hopefully the girls will pull it off!

P.S. sorry about the LONG post, it's just that i havnt posted in a while and need to let all this built up pondering inside my head out.... That's better! #TeamSats x

I'm glad they have a radio show tomorrow (on the day of the adds date). I just hope they do a proper radio tour whenever they come back to the US because it's going to take ALOT of radios to play it before it becomes even a small success.

It's more complicated than that. Yes Nicole went top 5, but her profile is much bigger, but then The Saturdays have more airplay at the moment...There are just way too many factors.

I could see them #1 and I could see them missing it. We'll see how it turns out. I don't know why you guys are getting your hopes so high? Let's wait until the first midweek to do that.

The one week there's no big acts releasing in the same week as the girls, there's big songs in the top 2 - Bruno and JT. And now Pink looks like she might be tough to beat now she's #3 on iTunes. Typical. :P Plus JT's album is released Monday so multiple versions of Mirrors will chart which will help him stay top, right?

"You've had a number of number one hits across the pond"

"We've had a lot of hits back home yeah"

lol, bit awkward! :heehee: Bet they'll be relieved when/if they get #1 next week!

Two days until the song's next releases! (Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Belgium)
It's good news that Nicole Scherzinger's single is #1 on midweeks, as that means that it's not that hard to beat Mirrors. I don't know how she did it though, when Boomerang has never been at the top of iTunes.
The song is still nowhere to be found on the Daily Airplay Updates thread. Guess the "adds date" pretty much meant nothing.

Stays on Radio 1's A List for another week.

yay about A List - if it hits #1 it may get another week!

and nay about Ireland! whats the time difference there? Maybe it hasn't had enough time on sale

Ouch - only #910 on Irish pre-orders! :( Hopefully there'll be enough fans to push it top 10 there. Of course, many UK #1s do poorly in Ireland, so you never know! (Rita Ora and Rudimental being recent examples of the top of my head, even current #1 Justin Timberlake).

Going by the TV guide synopsis for Comic Relief, it looks like the only performance is 1D with their Comic Relief single, so doubt there will be any announcement of other performers.

And apparently Peter Kay is releasing a Comic Relief single Friday night (tomorrow), which will probably take off. Looks like we'll just have to hope for top 3. :P

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :(

That sucks donkey dick

His last one with Susan Boyle didn't even go Top 10, so hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a threat.

Your theory is flawed by the fact that it was announced on Let's Dance For Comic Relief that Snow Patrol would be performing also...

Even if Peter Kay releases as song, who cares? If its not number 1 oh well, but I can see it deffo being top 3!!! plus I am sure there are a lot of pre-orders hopefully?
