i got my cd today too :)

I'm confused, if this CDs arrive on the Saturday, then why doesn't it count on the chart on Sunday? Or does it? I got Missing You and Higher on hmv and they arrived on the Saturday and I was wondering that at the time! :huh:

Think they had about 2,500 pre-orders to sign - i know its only a small amount but that may be the difference they need for a higher place

How much do you think they have made in pre-orders alone? I mean the EP has been in the top 100 for a good few weeks and the top 200 for a few months :)

This may sound a bit crazy, but possibly almost 10k? It has been available for a very LONG time! And has pretty much been in the top 200 the whole time (climbing into the top 100 the last couple weeks/top 75 this week).

so with cds thats like 12,500 sales - only another 57,500 to get their biggest ever sales week! hehe

It will definitely be interesting! Gabrielle Aplin's 'Please Don't Say You Love Me' had a similarly long pre-order time (Gabrielle was a few extra weeks though) and she was constantly in the top 200 - and look how much of a boost she got as she was #3 in the midweek chart despite at the time being only #17 (ish) on the singles chart (she later climbed into the singles top 10 too of course!)

No way would it be 10k..

 

I would say 5/6k at a push including CD's.

 

 

The album chart accounts for hardly anything.

It's amazing how many of the lyrics to this you can fit to them talking about a #1 ("now or never", "why are we waiting so long", "I like the way you tease me but let's just make this easy", "been a long time coming", "what about us", "give it to me, why are we waiting?, "you get me excited, now it's my turn")

It would be funny if that was the actual meaning behind the song, they just covered it up to seem less desperate! :D

Haha now that is funny! 1D are decreasing so should have fallen off the summit by midnight (hopefully)

It would be ironic if this got to number one after girls aloud, little mix and stooshe missed out! The public would have responded!
