February 3, 201312 yr This song inspired me, I wouldn't say that about many songs either. It really is a beautiful song, one of my favourites by Lucie without a doubt. I wish it did better. :(
February 3, 201312 yr Looking at my recent end of year charts, here are the songs that are generally forgotten and peaked between 11-40: Chase & Status feat. Tinie Tempah "Hitz" Lucenzo feat. Don Omar "Danza Kuduro" Jeremih feat. 50 Cent "Down On Me" Danny Byrd feat. I-Kay "Ill Behaviour" Afrojack feat. Steve Aoki & Miss Palmer "No Beef" Tinchy Stryder + Various Artists "Game Over" Alexa Goddard "Turn My Swag On" Afrojack feat. Eva Simons "Take Control" Nelly Furtado "Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)" Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso "Calling" Cedric Gervais "Molly" Pitbull "Back In Time" Nadia Ali "Rapture (Avicii Remix)" DJ Fresh feat. RaVaughn "The Feeling"
February 3, 201312 yr Author I loved the Example's songs from the Won't Go Quietly era - Kickstarts is such a summery tune. Last Ones Standing should have done much better, as should of Watch the Sun Go Up (it's probably less remembered than LOS). It's one of my fave albums. Listen to it a lot when I'm feeling down.

RaVaughn "The Feeling" I love most of those. Surely Turn My Swag On by Greg Street is more forgotten than Alexa Goddard's version? I don't think ever I've heard Molly, Back in Time or No Beef since after they left the chart.
February 3, 201312 yr Author "Say You Don't Want It" by One Night Only in 2010. Should have been #1. GREAT SONG very catchy: wF1WzzrLmpk "How Can I Love You More" by M People from 1992. Heard this on the radio a few days ago and on my "Band of Gold" (90s programme) boxset in the background: 5JtqdEneTSE
February 3, 201312 yr There are actually forgotten #1's, much less forgotten Top 40 singles which didn't go Top 10! Who even remembers these from 2000 anymore? bS-S-YSEpso Yy5cKX4jBkQ PruP58FuYmM Z9LjOQVBFmA I could go on...
February 3, 201312 yr Looking at my recent end of year charts, here are the songs that are generally forgotten and peaked between 11-40: Chase & Status feat. Tinie Tempah "Hitz" Could never forget this if only for the shock of it making the top 40 (I was 99% certain it would have dropped out over the week). One of the best top 40 hits of recent years IMO. See also Everything Everything 'Cough Cough'.
February 3, 201312 yr Author I remember all FOUR!! The Britney one...I saw it on some music channel on my Mums...the video quality looked like an old video that was found in a rubbish bin!
February 3, 201312 yr One I remember and I own the CD, I think it got to #20 in 1998, Shelly Nelson - Sometimes.
February 3, 201312 yr I remember all FOUR!! The Britney one...I saw it on some music channel on my Mums...the video quality looked like an old video that was found in a rubbish bin! I remember all four too. But Tom, Dick and Harry or Sharon and Tracy? Doubt it.
February 3, 201312 yr All of these from 1998-2005 went top five in my personal chart, bolded ones went to #1, fair to say many of the general public wouldn't recall them! Meja - All 'Bout The Money (#12, 1998) The Cardigans - Hanging Around (#17, 1999) Paul Van Dyk - Another Way (#13, 1999) Sister2Sister - Sister (#18, 2000) Rollergirl - Dear Jessie (#22, 2000) Thrillseekers feat Sheryl Deane - Synaesthesia (Fly Away) (#28, 2001 - one of the greatest/warmest trance songs ever imo, give it a listen!) De Nada - Love You Anyway (#15, 2001) / Bring It Onto My Love (#22, 2002) Dream - He Loves U Not (#17, 2001) Lindsay D - No Dream Impossible (#32, 2001) Alsou - Before You Love Me (#27, 2001) Tillmann Uhrmacher - On The Run (#16, 2002) Ladies First - I Can't Wait (#19, 2002) Puretone - Stuck In A Groove (#26, 2003) Boomkat - The Wreckoning (#37, 2003 - seems to have a cult following on BJ though!) Kelly Llorenna - This Time I Know It's For Real (#14, 2004) Charlotte Hatherley - Bastardo (#31, 2005) Lil' Love - Little Love (#34, 2005)
February 3, 201312 yr Meja - All 'Bout The Money (#12, 1998) Puretone - Stuck In A Groove (#26, 2003) I still love Puretone, SO much better than their big hit. Meja.
February 3, 201312 yr Completely agree, I really like Addicted To Bass but Stuck In A Groove was so much more melodic, I can't believe it couldn't even make the top 20, although I also can't see why it took them over a year to follow up their first hit.
February 4, 201312 yr How can I remember them if I've forgotten them? I guess - focus on the word "guess" - the purpose of this thread is to list those songs which were originally non-Top 10 Top 40 hits of varying magnitude which have been all but M.I.A. from the general public's conscioussness.
February 4, 201312 yr A few of my favourites: Sheryl Crow - The First Cut is the Deepest (#36, 2003) dK9eLe8EQps Craig David - 6 of 1 Thing (#39, 2008) hU1TESLOXYs Linkin Park - Breaking the Habbit (#39, 2004) acgvRle07GI Sarah Connor - Bounce (#14, 2004) tA9PSTxxoX8 Avril Lavigne - Hot (#30, 2007) fzb75m8NuMQ Katy Perry - Thinking of You (#27, 2009) wdGZBRAwW74 Evanescence - Everybody's Fool (#39, 2004) jhC1pI76Rqo Lindsay Lohan - Over (#27, 2005) Kjrch1VFd8I Hilary Duff - With Love (#30, 2007) 41F5EdwsfKo
February 4, 201312 yr Looking at my recent end of year charts, here are the songs that are generally forgotten and peaked between 11-40: Lucenzo feat. Don Omar "Danza Kuduro" This is played all the time wherever I go  Even last Saturday! If anything I'm surprised it didn't go top 10 as it feels like one of those hits that should have been bigger. There's way too many 'forgotten' top 40 hits I can think of - particularly in terms of 90s/early 00s dance music, basically take gooddelta's list and times it by about ten :P This is one of my favourite songs ever and given its fairly heavy sound for 1999 standards did pretty well to peak at #14: Qgx_V0So0qk
February 4, 201312 yr Author I LOVE "Everybody's Fool". Should have been a big hit but it was the fourth single off "Fallen", so I can see why it failed. Some personal faves from 2009/2010: Gary Go - "Wonderful" #26 a28s_wyqkyc Missing Andy - "Made in England" These guys appeared on some SKY1 reality show. The vocalist looks a lot like Mike Skinner! OYaYldgp4OY also "Sing for The Deaf" ChmrZ6hz37o

Forgotten by Joe Bloggs perhaps but still regarded as classics by fans of the genre - Ayla, Carte Blanche, 1999, The Awakening, Lizard and so many more!
February 4, 201312 yr Good ole Ferry Corsten. ABsolutely one of the main reasons why I loved the charts of 1999, you were always guaranteed some amazing Top 40 new entries. Other ones like Liquid Child's "Diving Faces" (on Now 44) and Veracocha's "Carte Blanche". If something like that made the Top 40 now it would make everything else in the chart sound so average and DULL. :D
