Cadelicia finished 2014 with their third top 20 hit of the year to match the feat from the previous year. Although not as successful when having actually qualified, the country managed to progress to the final in 7 of the 10 contests this year, improving on 5 of 9 in 2013. The most promising statistic is the fact Cadelicia have qualified for 12 out of the last 15 contests, resulting in a top 30 finish out of all participating countries for the year.

In other news, it is the end of season in the BJSC world, and all participants are gearing up for the 'Best of' and 'Rejects' competitions to start. Tritonal have managed to qualify from the nominations stage of the Rejects competition, and considering they could have been classed as a "shock" DNQ, there is no reason why the dance group can't qualify for the final. Out of the seven entries Cadelicia has in the 'Best of' contest, our only chance of progressing realistically lie with For BDK and Tielsie, who both finished top half of their respective contests. The fact that Tielsie gained three 12s and 10s could prove decisive; a string of high points could push the BJSC 67 entrant through to the semi-finals.

Cadelicia will be announcing their top 40 songs of the year throughout the middle of December, having postponed their 2013 list due to prior commitments.

The inclusion of PC Music (or related) entries continues for the 6th contest in a row thanks to new recruit Spinee. Taking a classic Ultrabeat song and mashing it to pieces is what "Pretty Green" can be described as, and Cadelicia jumped straight onto it due to their love of the parent track. The song marks the first of the 2015 entries for Cadelicia and the president is hopeful that it can bring a 5th qualification in a row.

Spinee - Pretty Green | 27th (65 points)

It was yet another disappointing month for Cadelicia this January, with possible lower top 10 contender Spinee crashing in at a dismal 27th place. A string of 1 and 2 points meant, whilst 16 countries voted for the song (the most votes received for a country outside the top 20 this contest), "Pretty Green" limped through the night. The vote running order didn't help either, with the Cadelician entry receiving just 8 points from 3 voters over the entire second half.

President Dewar has declared that she is personally struggling to find a decent enough entry for the February edition, stating that even though she would love to see the country match their longest qualification streak, it would all be a bit pointless if it was just to secure countless bottom half finishes.

DIFFERENT DIRECTION FOR CADELICIA

After a forgettable start to 2015 Cadelicia have went in another direction with a song that has been a potential for a number of months. Tep No brings a slice of RnB pie to the feast this month, and locals are hopeful of a 6th qualification in a row. Contrary to the title, neither Lana Del Rey or Dr Dre are mentioned in the song.
