I was thinking exactly that when i was adding it on yesterday - think it was the day after Zane Lowe premiered it which they normally do for big band returns. O well suppose no-one ever said it cant be twice?! Itll be on the a list im sure next week anyway - they love the Black Keys & theyre at their commercial peak now or as radio 1 would put it they are a rock act accessible to the general public

No they dudnt have Black Keys as TOTD. Someone made it up on the forum lol.

Who made it up lol?? :o

Not too sure - but it was around the time when Cash Cash "Take Me Home" was TOTD, and also around the time when "Fever" was Zane's hottest record, so a few weeks back!!

They made it up that Black Keys was TOTD - probably got confused with Zane's Hottest Record to be fair, or just tried to fit in lol.

Jake Bugg Messed up kids 12/5

Anyway predictions for this afternoon:

Ed Sheeran - Sing (ordinarily they'd wait a couple of weeks given its impact date but I can see them making an exception and adding this straightaway)

Shakira - Empire (I'm hoping they'll add it but they'll probably snub it)

Jake Bugg - Messed Up Kids

Klingande - Jubel (would have thought they'll support this)

Lady Gaga - G.U.Y (although I think it's also possible they'll snub her for the rest of the era, who knows)

David Guetta & Showtek feat. Vassy - Bad

Nick Mulvey - Meet Me There

Clean Bandit feat. Sharna Bass - Extraordinary

Sam Smith - Stay With Me

Im pretty sure it was ROTD after the premiere though remember hearing it alot that day as we listen to radio 1 in work. But i could be mistaken?

Yeah Ed and Guetta are good shouts!

I haven't done this but seeing as I'm off school here are my predictions:

 A-List

Calvin Harris 'Summer'

Coldplay 'Magic'

Mr. Probz 'Waves' (Robin Schulz Remix)

Tove Lo 'Stay High' (feat. Hippie Sabotage)

 B-List

Cash Cash 'Take Me Home' (feat. Bebe Rexha)

Foxes 'Holding On To Heaven'

Katy B 'Still'

The Black Keys 'Fever'

:ne: C-List

Afrojack 'Ten Feet Tall' (feat. Wrabel)

David Guetta & Showtek 'Bad' (feat. Vassy)

Ed Sheeran 'Sing'

Klingande 'Jubel'

There's also the possibility of them supporting the new Pitbull track but I doubt it.

Next week?

Clean Bandit 'Extraordinary' (feat. Sharna Bass)

Fuse ODG 'Dangerous Love' (feat. Sean Paul)

Sam Smith 'Stay With Me'

SecondCity 'I Wanna Feel'

I didn't notice Nick Mulvey and Jake Bugg were releasing new singles, but yeah they'll obviously get R1 support this or next week.

I'd be very surprised if they added Shakira or Lady Gaga.

I'd love it if they added Shakira, I think it would sit nicely on their playlist. But they clearly only added ICRTFY because of Rihanna.

Radio 1 Track of the Day - 9/4/14

Alicia Keys Its on Again (Ft Kendrick Lemar) Produced by Pharrell

Also Eminem Headlights (Ft Nate Reuss) has a video, it could possibly be added to the main playlist!

my guesses:

 Calvin Harris - Summer

 Iggy Azalea (ft. Charli XCX) - Fancy

 Indiana - Solo Dancing

 Mr Probz - Waves (Robin Schulz Remix)

 Tove Lo (ft. Hippie Sabotage) - Stay High

B List

 Cash Cash (ft. Bebe Rexha) - Take Me Home

 Foxes - Holding Onto Heaven

 Half Moon Run - Nerve

 Katy B - Still

 Neon Jungle - Welcome To The Jungle

 The Black Keys - Fever

C List

:ne: Afrojack (ft. Wrabel) - Ten Feet Tall

:ne: David Guetta & Showtek (ft. Vassy) - Bad

:ne: Eminem (ft. Nate Ruess) - Headlights

:ne: Jake Bugg - Messed Up Kids

:ne: Nick Mulvey - Meet Me There

:ne: Pitbull (ft. G.R.L.) - Wild Wild Love

:ne: Sam Smith - Stay With Me

INMWT List

:ne: Kwabs - Pray For Love

think Magic will be kept on the B List for at least one more week. hoping for at least 1/2 interesting additions (and for that awful Afrojack song to be snubbed)

My playlist predictions:

Afrojack feat Wrabel - Ten Feet Tall

David Guetta & Showtek - Bad

Ed Sheeran - Sing

Jake Bugg - Messed Up Kids

Nick Mulvey – Meet Me There

Paloma Faith - Only Love Can Hurt Like This

Sam Smith - Stay With Me

I can see them supporting both Gaga and Pitbull tbh. They supported Applause and DWUW, and neither of them flopped exactly. They're hit and miss with Pitbull but I've got a feeling they're gonna support it, would be silly not to after Timber I think.
If Pitbull gets added it will be the first time in over 3 years that R1 have playlisted two consecutive Pitbull singles! I'll be kinda disappointed if that pattern is ruined
