And then they go and perform it just weeks later - that is terrifying yet awesome :D

Now I just need to wait until 'Set You Free' and/or 'Common People' finally get the #1s they deserve and my life is complete!

You and me both. Surely time for another re-release, the last one was over a decade ago!

I think Set You Free could be a hit given the 2013 treatment. Imagine the iTunes chart:

#01 1.0000 N-Trance "Set You Free (David Guetta Remix) (feat. Pitbull)"

#02 0.7495 Icona Pop "I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)"

#03 0.6246 Robin Thicke "Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)"

That probably won't ever happen in a million years though

The Supremes - You Can't Hurry Love

The song got to #1, just not in that version :P (Phil Collins took it to #1)

I just found out today that Mariah Carey's We Belong Together only went to number 2. I would have bet money on it being number 1 and it's rare for me to get things like that wrong! Was it a midweek #1?
It famously missed out on #1 by only 392 copies.

That's interesting to know, who beat it?.

2Pac and Elton John's Ghetto Gospel as far as I can recall, great shame :(
We Belong Together was the first song to be #1 on the Physical Chart, but not #1 on the combined (i.e. physicals + downloads) chart.
All interesting facts I brought the physical probably not on the first week of release I think it was the 2nd not that my copy would made difference. It would have been better to have her at #1.
