July 10, 201311 yr Hate the album cover as well. Hate the pixie haircut and hate her attitude this era. It was fun and sassy with TTT but now it's just awful. I don't fully agree with your opinions on the singles, but I definitely agree with this. I always prefer long hair on women but Rihanna looked great with her 2007 bob and even the 2008/9 haircut she had, but this pixie cut is awful. :puke: The attitude is bad like you say, especially when it comes to the videos - delayed for the first two singles and none so far for the last two. Maybe I'm just easy to please, but I've appreciated the 'Unapologetic' era! 'Diamonds' & 'Stay' are both wonderful - a nice change of pace for Rihanna. I can take or leave 'Pour It Up' - she should have gone with 'Jump' instead. I have no problems with 'Right Now' - I understand that it's basic/generic, yet I still enjoy it. :kink: I'm with you on this. I have got bored of 'Stay' now but I loved it at the time, and I still enjoy listening to 'Diamonds' even despite the massive overplay. Currently obsessing over 'Right Now' but I can definitely see where the hate for it is coming from - very generic like you say. I haven't heard Unapologetic nor Talk That Talk, but I've heard lots of comments about them both sounding very rushed with little standouts. No surprise though, she really should have waited after her massive Loud era. I thought it was too early for 'We Found Love' to be released, but looking back, I think it was fine how it was, but the album should have been released later. Perhaps in the spring? Obviously it will have lost out on sales it would have gained in Q4, but I think Rihanna's name along with everything else would have allowed it to sell a sufficient amount. I do really hope she takes a break soon. I fully support the release of a Greatest Hits, could quite easily be a million seller I reckon if released in time for Christmas.
July 19, 201311 yr Ah if we dont get a video for this ill give up on Rihanna . She just seems to give up
July 19, 201311 yr She just doesn't seem to care at all. :( She's too busy dying her hair grey. (Which looks amazing!) :( I really like 'Right Now', despite how generic it is. So good when I've heard it on nights out.
July 27, 201311 yr I JUST CAME TO SAY THAT 'STAY' IS THE BEST BALLAD SHE HAS EVER DONE. Bye. you put on quite a show Really had me going But now it's time to go Curtain's finally closing That was quite a show Very entertaining But it's over now Go on and take a bow
July 27, 201311 yr you put on quite a show Really had me going But now it's time to go Curtain's finally closing That was quite a show Very entertaining But it's over now Go on and take a bow I don't wanna do this anymore I don't wanna be the reason why Every time I walk out the door I see him die a little more inside I don't wanna hurt him anymore I don't wanna take away his life I don't wanna be... July 27, 201311 yr So I guess I'm a fool I'm a fool in love But I'm willing to stay here And bask in the glory of his heart I guess I'm a fool in love But I'm willing to look so stupid Till I've had enough Mama, don't judge me now I'm not trying to hurt you I know this won't make you proud Papa, did I let you down? Are you ashamed of how your little girl turned out?
July 27, 201311 yr So anyway. It seems to me like it's either label rebellion on her part (if she doesn't care, perhaps she just doesn't like the material she's supposed to be promoting right now?) or her label deciding to cool things down with her in general to avoid overexposure (though in that case it seems odd to send songs to radio in the first place). It's a bit blah to see a fave of yours randomly kill their campaign but I'm sure there's a good reason for it either way. Nobody decides they can't be bothered to do their job for no reason, so I'm not going to blame Rihanna if she has chosen not to promote this era any further.
July 27, 201311 yr I guess it suggests that videos play a big part in the success of her singles. I wonder why they didn't release any videos for the last two singles, although the reasons above may play a big part. I thought she had filmed a video for Pour It Up though.
July 28, 201311 yr I'm surprised this didn't catch on, I guess this campaign is done and she's just concentrating on touring.
