Teddy is growing up so fast. 4 kids who have thought this?

I wonder if the new preference for 'cowboy' style clothes have a reason. I also wonder about the upcoming concerts. Bonn sold out in seconds. I read though that Australia is not selling well? Maybe because of Corona fear? Or is his draw as the great live performer over for those who still go to concerts as his fan base overage? :-)

And Las Vegas...any idea if tickets are selling? I have not looked the last weeks. For whatever reason I feel sad on behalf of Rob when he does not 'sell'. Maybe he is right and it is time to look for new ventures or smaller venues (not in Las Vegas as it is small)

Is the Australian gig not part of the Grand Prix events , I did not even know they sold tickets for the entertainment at those, I thought it all came as part of a package ...

I would not mind seeing Robbie do some Country & Western :)

No it's separate. All I read was the tickets were extortionate. :o

I never bother looking to see if something sells or not. It always seems to be packed by the time he gets there. :P

The only half empty stadium I can remember him playing to was in Brazil in 2006. He wasn't that well known there.

Las Vegas can't be sold out otherwise they would be saying so. But what is the pattern of buying for Vegas shows. Do people mostly just "pop in" when they're on holiday there? To catch a show? Is it quite unusual that fans plan ahead to go and see an act? Is there significance to it not selling out or is that normal? Who can answer these questions?

I'll suppose we'll find out if he gets invited back a third time. Despite all the good reviews - I don't feel like I've missed out by not seeing him there. I really do prefer Robbie is a big venue. I think it's where he comes alive. I got to see him at Hyde Park in front of 60,000 people last summer at one of the best gigs I've seen him do at a fraction of the cost of Vegas. That was the best choice for me.

I agree about the huge venue, Laura. It is quite difficult to say when and what makes someone or something successful. I see the Billie Eillish hype in the moment. Lady Gaga, Adele, Billie for the females and Rob, James Blunt, Ed, Lewis for the males? Then Justin Bieber drops an album and is very successful. Rob is in for the game since so long. I would still like him to be very successful. I mean, he is very successful. But sometimes I feel him not going down the 'legend' part of successful and not because of his songs, but because of his light entertainment behavior. I wonder in which direction he will spread his wings for the future. He admitted that his lifestyle costs money so he has to continue to work and to earn money. I don't see him earning appropriate within his 'old' venues though. Mmmmh, I am more worried than him :-)

I know what you mean Elisabeth.

But he stays true to himself. Dips his toe in what interests him. Tales off in whatever direction he fancies. Has fun- and has his gorgeous family around him.

I think he does alright. ;)

The trouble is - because I don't follow anyone else like I follow him - I have nothing to compare to. How successful is successful?

I want him to be number one for weeks and sell hundreds of thousands of albums and he doesn't anymore. Then I compare what he does to all the others in the industry and I think he does better than most.

After thirty years at the top to still be doing "better than most" is pretty incredible.
