I really like You so pleased it won, I think it could do very well at Eurovision myself. I wonder how they will take it in Sweden. I wonder if the guy in charge will be shocked at the result (can't remember his name).

Annoyingly I am trying to watch it on their SVT player, I can hear the audio but can't see anything

lol.. Just read on Twitter than "You" came 4th in it's heat, and Anton got more votes in AC than "You" did.

Apparently the full results will be released tomorrow.

Wow, it really was a huge grower then. This is my main concern for it, I didn't find it particularly instant and Sweden won't even go through the semis for the song to grow on people. Will Europe REALLY rush to vote for it after the first listen?

It was my first time on hearing it and I found it instant, as did my mate watching it with me. Perhaps we were in the minority but I think it's fare to say there is no overall winner at this stage (though I think Denmark will win.... sadly)

On the UK iTunes Pop chart:

1274. Robin Stjernberg - You

:cheer: Melodifestivalen having an effect in the UK! :D

Wow what :o You won?! Woah, definitely wasn't expecting to come back to that!

where all of about 4 people bought it. The POP chart?!

OH SNAP JOHN.

Don't ruin the moment guys! :snif: :kink:
I think Robin will do fine at the ESC. Unlike Jerick, the fag, who do not answer me on facebook.

Haha  I was watching a movie :P I think Robin could make it to the top 10, Jack ;)

You has grown on me sooooo much, definitely going towards the top of my rankings

What was somewhat more impressive was that #melfest was trending in the UK the whole time the show was on, sometimes trending higher than both Saturday Night Takeaway and Let's Dance related trends.

Can't WAIT to see the reaction of the Swedish tabloids. Goodbye to the international juries next year, or at least their influence will be significantly weakened, especially if Robin flops in May!

Why? It's not like Las Vegas or Hero flopping led to any changes.

Hon Har Inte just keeps growing on me and is now my favourite out of all the songs. WHY wasn't this in the final? :(

I just have a gut feeling that the Swedish public probably won't like that international juries picked the winner for them and that their influence will be lessened next year. Or they might return to regional Swedish juries instead. I'm really glad that they sunk Yohio personally, because I have a feeling that regional Swedish juries would have taken on board the hype and he'd have ended up with enough points to win overall. Arguably that should probably be the right thing of course and sometimes jury votes drive me insane (Blue's downfall in Eurovision 2011 entirely down to them). I reckon if international juries had been part of the voting process in 2010 Salem Al Fakir might have won.

International juries didn't pick the winner for them, they just didn't choose decisively enough in the televote. A 6% difference in the vote isn't much of a resounding victory for YOHIO - it's not a Nanne scenario where there was a very clear public choice (and where she'd have won if the televote had been dished out proportionally).

It was going to be an uphill struggle for Yohio the moment Robin had a 60+ point headstart on him going into the public voting, so no maybe they didn't 'pick the winner' but he'd have needed a huge lead to overcome that deficit, so they didn't exactly help Yohio's cause. I just have a gut feeling that it might seem offputting to voters that the favourite of some external juries was allowed to win over the favourite of the people living and voting in Sweden, regardless of the fact that Robin finished second in the televote. I could be wrong, but there's usually a mini-backlash at least when the public's choice doesn't win and surely even moreso when those deciding juries aren't even Swedish!

I'm still waiting for a Eurovision winner that didn't win the televote, think it could happen this year actually. Italy finishing 2nd in 2011 shows just how much influence the juries can have even if the public could barely care about a track. 11th on the televote doesn't exactly represent something widely loved yet it would have won had Running Scared not been there to stop it!

Back to MF, I wonder if some televoters who were against Heartbreak Hotel winning noticed how much of an opportunity You suddenly had after the international jury votes and flocked to vote for that in order to stop Yohio? Maybe not as direct a vote against as the old duel system that sent Emilia to the final purely because people were voting against Caroline Af Ugglas as opposed to FOR Emilia, but it's the same sort of thing. Have the full voting breakdowns come out yet?

They haven't! Which is very strange as normally they're quite prompt with them...

ASIDE: despite him basically being Josh Dubovie plus five stone and vocal training, I think I'm a bit in love with Robin Stjernberg after his victory reaction. And You has grown HUGELY. I reckon it could be a proper little dark horse for victory come May.

I had this thought as well but the time interval for voting after the juries' votes had been counted was much smaller so I don't think it made such a big effect. even if they closed the voting before juries started revealing their points I don't think it'd have helped Yohio. :(
