March 28, 201312 yr Horrible song I thought she was gonna be singing at first  but no the production isn't original enough for it to be a hit single in my opinion, too similar to the other current hip hop beats, that's why the hip hop scene is pretty much dead as well. Are you serious? This is nothing like the current hip-hop scene
March 28, 201312 yr A-listed on Radio 1 & now #40 on iTunes UK! The "A-List" effect won't kick in until next week (from Monday), so if it can keep doing well on iTunes, with the extra radio plays, it could be in contention for an official Top 40 placing next week :yahoo:
March 28, 201312 yr Addicted to this, it seems a bit messy at times but I love it. Pretty different to what else is out there too.
March 29, 201312 yr I gave this a listen as it appeared on one of the Aussie blogs I follow and my god it's brilliant! Love the "no money, no family, sixteen in the middle of Miami" hook!
March 29, 201312 yr I'm HOOOOOOOOKED! Sounds ridiculous brilliant in my car even before I've cranked the bass.

April 5, 201312 yr Author What do you mean? lol Start off small-hits then became massive. I believe 212 had a few weeks outside Top 40 before it finally got there too.

April 8, 201312 yr Are you serious? This is nothing like the current hip-hop scene  I agree with him that it's very much like the current hip hop music. The song changes beats a few times, but the main beat it uses, is very similar to many other hip hop songs from the past few years. However, I do think it could be a hit. The song has crossover appeal (fans of pop music might potentially like it), and also being female and white will broaden her audience too. But the main beat is a standard hip hop beat really.

April 8, 201312 yr Then name recent hip-hop songs that sound like this please  if anything I think this has a more electronic vibe to it. The beat isn't that dissimilar to Tyga - Rack City. It's the synth strings that sets this song apart.
