Yeah checking my playlist store and it is indeed 5th week on the list got over excited lol I just see the potential now for the song to maybe go top 20 which would be great!!

Daughter disappeared quite quickly!!

I think Top 20 is a bit ambitious this week but Top 30 is looking almost certain :) now if Stereophonics can just sneak into the Top 40 and Bastille stay Top 3, this week will be awesome for UK indie/alternative!

Stereophonics should be top 40 easy enough top 30 is a possibility - it was no30 in the wednesday update and has a version at 70 & 40 on itunes!

Chocolate will be around 22 this sunday but with this alisting it could rise higher or just hang around for ages lol

Yeah you're right actually, Stereophonics should be pretty safe, I was just a bit worried cos they've almost dropped out of the itunes Top 40, but I forgot about the second version at 70! And Chocolate was only at 27 in the mids, which is why I think Top 20 is a bit ambitious this week, but as it's now a-listed and still climbing on itunes, I reckon anything between 22-24 is realistic! Can definitely see it having some longevity though and maybe Top 20 the following week :D

Lets hope so it adds something different to the chart imo although it might find it hard to hold with radio 1 being its only commercial backers!
She has plenty if support on the MTV channels, doubt she will flop!
Why are Hurts not on any of the playlists on Radio 1 or Radio 2? I'm really confused as to why British radio stations just don't seem to want to promote them when they are a British act who are big in Europe.

Yeah it is strange thy deserve at least radio 2 support, they are massive in germany

Strange - its top 10 in ireland now even - maybe radio will get behind it then?!
According to iTunes its been pushed back to June

Oh really? :(

According to iTunes its been pushed back to June

How crazy, I can only assume the label believes it can be a hit so we try to reissue it in a month or two. If they weren't bothered they'd surely just release it now and see what happens.

Madness. Icona Pop really could've been a hit in just 2 weeks time had the track been pushed forward by Radio 1 last week, or the week before with video airplay increasing (I've already seen the video on Dance Chart Show TV a few times)

I long for the day when we just have an international iTunes store and everything is available regardless of which country you live in. Then I could've bought 'I Love It' ages ago. Also 'I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix)' but that's for another discussion.

Your exactly right hits its ridiculous that uk music lovers have to wait until Icona Pop decides to releases their music when other people can get it now - i live about half an hour from the border with the republic of Ireland in N.Ireland - if i lived down the road id beable to buy it right now but no!!!!!

Its not even Icona Pops fault its the fault of the conservative british radio station that wont embrace OA/OS releases by immediately alisting new songs and so artists know they have to have a months build up before releasing a track in order to make it chart high and therefore consolidating radio airplay after a songs has charted.

No wonder so many people just decide to stream music or illegally download it!

I've actually not heard of that Icona Pop song. It's a good job that it hasn't been released because most people over here don't know what it sounds like!

Most people had never heard "Somebody That I Used To Know" when it came out at the start of January last year and within six weeks it was #1.

I think had they released Icona Pop it probably wouldn't do much, especially as it seems to be largely ignored. The fact that they have pushed it back suggests to me the labels wants it to be a hit otherwise they'd just release it.

I wonder if their American success is partly behind this decision. Its been largely ignored here so far but in the US it seems to be taking off on Itunes and pop. I wonder if they hope success in the US will convince the UK radio/TV like the Box to playlist it? Songs tend to get extra backing sometimes if they've had US success. That's just my view though.

On the website Daughter are on the B-List think there's a mistake on the first post
