March 7, 201312 yr Caro Emerald on the playlist, which will be appreciated by particular members here. :P Definitely by me!
March 7, 201312 yr Author Definitely by me! I'm yet to hear her new song, but if it is anything like her previous material (That Man ) I'm sure it will be fantastic. Hopefully it stands a chance of becoming her first(?) Top 40 single.
March 13, 201312 yr Author The Radio 2 Playlist Thread With the target audience of Radio 1 being similar to Buzzjack's audience, the Radio 1 Playlist always gets much more attention than the Radio 2 Playlist. Therefore, this thread will be solely devoted to Radio 2, where all future playlists will be stored here (with this first post also updated weekly). Here we can discuss the latest additions to the playlist and the records selected as 'Record/Album of the Week', as well as any news regarding this radio station. How is the playlist selected? The Playlist Committee, made up of producers and chaired by Jeff Smith, Head of Music Radio 2, meet each week to decide which new releases will be added to the station's playlist. The playlist contains about 30 tracks which are divided into three levels: A list which receives the most plays, between 15 and 20 per week; B list between 5 and 10 plays and up to 5 plays per week for the C list. The Radio 2 playlist is one of the most varied of any radio station in the UK and can include albums as well as singles. Before any track can be considered it must be commercially available or be within 3 weeks of commercial availability. To view the playlist on the Radio 2 website, click here. This gives you the opportunity to view the BBC Artist Page, official site and reviews for the '...of the Weeks' too. March 13, 201312 yr Author Carrie still on the C-List. :o Doing sod all on iTunes though. :( Would probably need to be A or B listed in order to make some progress. She's only ever had one charting song hasn't she? I think that was Blown Away which reached something underwhelming like #157! :P -x- I guess with David Bowie's album on the A-list is why The Stars (Are Out Tonight) is off the playlist after only 2 weeks. Would be nice if Bon Jovi's album joined next week.
March 13, 201312 yr Absolutely fab that Hurts "Blind" is down as record of the week - though why they've never playlisted Miracle is beyond me.
March 13, 201312 yr AMAZING, Blind is such a good single choice, and it's out in my birthday week, which is also Record Store Day week, if you get me  Disappointed at no Agnetha, maybe they'll get on board when the album is out here.
March 14, 201312 yr Ooo i like this topic - why dont radio 1 playlist albums like they used to do a decade ago?!
