5 seconds on a sub par P!nk song is hardly going to send Lily back into the limelight.

Lily is not Xtincta. She can make a comeback.

Anyone who thinks that there isn't going to be a LOT of interest in Lily's new stuff is a bit SILLY.

This is good news for the 4th single - I was excited about this song as soon as I knew they'd duetted. It's a shame Lily's part is so small though.

This isn't Lily's new stuff though  it's just a few seconds on P!nk's song.

That's not what anyone is saying though. It's just good to hear SOMETHING from Lily because it's been so long and seeing as this will now be a single, although she has the smallest part in a featured song, ever, it's still regarded as "the song with Lily Allen".

Reggy, I can't help but feel you're being slightly biased in your opinions on this song, due to your "hatred" of Lily. Surely you can see why it's chosen as the next single (beyond the fact it features Lily)?

Nope. Its still very average, with the cunt or not.. Much better songs on the album do the same job and do it better.

Outside of a few people here, I haven't heard anyone talk about her, nor wanting to hear new music from her. If this song is a hit, it will have little or nothing to do

with Lily.

I'm sure people still care about Lily.

Maybe not in the US but it will definitely help her UK sales. But honestly, I think it'll be a successful because it's a good song, I'd still like it even if it featured Tulisa.

I don't think it's unfair to say Lily Allen is irrelevant at this point. It doesn't exactly feel like there's loads of hype and anticipation for her "comeback", if it ever happens. I mean, the last time she was in the charts, it wasn't that long after Duffy's domination (and I don't think anyone would deny she's long faded into irrelevance at this point), and it's not exactly like she's been a regular in the press since then either, nor is her old stuff still regularly played anywhere. That's not to say Lily can't be successful again if she actually builds interest with her solo material, but I really don't see that she's still some A-List star who people are so desperate to hear new stuff from that they'll lap up 'True Love' just because it has her name on it.

Leaving that aside though, I still see this song doing well, not because of Lily Allen (who'll most likely be irrelevant to whether the song does well or not) but purely because it's a breezy radio-friendly track.

Not at all. The fact she's been gone so long and she clearly has a big fanbase (both her albums have been ridiculously huge enough to get a solid fanbase from), surely whet's people's appetites that bit more? To the general public, I doubt she's faded into obscurity that much, but I sort of see your point. However, had she made a public statement that she was recording a new album and stuff, I'm pretty sure more of the public would become interested. Her profile has been low, but it's hardly low enough to be deemed "irrelevant". Just because she hasn't released a song since sometime in 2010 or whatever. I still think that T-Pain song only did well, because it was Lily.

EDIT: This post isn't saying that I think it'll do well solely because of Lily btw, I do genuinely think it's the song with the biggest "hit appeal", left from the album

Lily is still a celebrity who gets tons of coverage. To say people have forgotten about her just because they aren't lining the streets to protest how long it's been since she released new music is a little ridiculous.

Hopefully that's just a placeholder and the real one will have the girls together on it!

I think that's just from the lyric video, so I think it is just a placeholder. (It better be anyway! Grr)

Adore Lily Allen and It's so refreshing to see another female collaboration as opposed to the typical Female and male rapper.

Hope it's another big hit for P!nk :D

Officially LOVE this now, even Lily's bit. Continued listens working out for me.
Ι thought you'd never admit this, Regina, even if you actually liked the song :P
