March 16, 201312 yr Porter Robinson and Everything Everything [/thread] Edited March 16, 201312 yr by Bré
March 16, 201312 yr Author Journey aren't one hit wonders. Maybe they aren't in the US, but in the UK they definitely are. Their only other chart hit was "Who's Crying Now", a #46 hit in 1982.
March 16, 201312 yr Can You Blow My will take some beating <3 In seriousness, without a shadow of doubt Loreen - Euphoria  But also I absolutely love Ready Or Not, Impossible, 212, Somebody That I Used To Know, Pumped Up Kicks, Mr Saxobeat, Need You Now, Naturally and Number 1 Enemy  Of those, I'd say only Azealia Banks, James Arthur and possibly Selena Gomez stand any chance of getting another a hit (the first two almost certainly, Selena perhaps could 'do a Taylor Swift' and be much more successful this era, but equally she could just get her token ~#50 'hit').
March 16, 201312 yr And the chorus of 'Loreen - Euphoria' starts. Fantastic! :D I would also count Gotye and Azealia Banks among my favourites from that list, those three are a level above everything else.
March 16, 201312 yr Bingo Players had a minor hit with "I Cry" peaked around 60 something. And I consider "I Could Be The One" as an Avicii hit more than anything, I don't use the featured artist or whoever the collaboration is.
March 16, 201312 yr Author A lot of great songs on that list, my absolute favourites (excluding recent songs) have to be Yolanda Be Cool, Alexandra Stan, Sak Noel, Azealia Banks, Porter Robinson, PSY and Sam and the Womp! I also love Euphoria but not as much as other people on this forum.
March 16, 201312 yr Corey Taylor has had hits with Slipknot. I don't massively love anything on the list with the possible exception of Gotye. It's not my favourite but "Blackout" is great fun, even if Breathe Carolina are by and large terrible.
March 16, 201312 yr Selena Gomez isn't a one hit wonder. She's had quite a few songs which charted in the 41-60 region!
March 16, 201312 yr Author Selena Gomez isn't a one hit wonder. She's had quite a few songs which charted in the 41-60 region! Yes, but this is a list of artists who have only had 1 top 40 hit. :P
March 16, 201312 yr "Mad World" was released some years before. Only 5 songs, which I like Lady Antebellum "Need You Now" Lena "Satellite" Daisy Dares You (feat. Chipmunk) "Number One Enemy" Alexandra Stan "Mr Saxobeat" Terry Venables "If I Can Dream"
March 16, 201312 yr Plenty of fab songs here! 2010 Fyfe Dangerfield "She's Always A Woman" #7 Kele "Tenderoni" #31 Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup "We No Speak Americano" #1 Hurts "Wonderful Life" #21 Stromae "Alors On Danse" #25 The xx "Islands" #34 Michael Andrews feat. My faves could NEVA release such an awful song :kink: Edited March 16, 201312 yr by SevenSeize
March 16, 201312 yr Corey Taylor has had hits with Slipknot. Also: - Fyfe Dangerfield with Guillemots - Kele with Bloc Party - Brandon Flowers with The Killers (I realise this was already pointed out by Thermo) - Nadine with Girls Aloud - Stacey Solomon with The X Factor Finalists 2009 - Nadia Ali with iiO - Marcus Collins with The X Factor Finalists 2011 - Sebastian Ingrosso with Swedish House Mafia - Dot Rotten with The Collective - Aiden Grimshaw with The X Factor Finalists 2010 - Richard Jones with The Feeling - Nick Mason with Pink Floyd - Mike Rutherford with Genesis And Knife Party and Beady Eye were formed from the splits of Pendulum and Oasis respectively. Think I got all of them there :kink:
March 17, 201312 yr Azealia Banks will make her way off that list in 2013. We've her debut album to look forward too, as well as collaborations with Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Kanye West; which'll hopefully be chosen as a single/reach the T40 from cherry-picking. Sam and the Womp is an interesting one too. Saw them live back in September and they had other songs, sounding almost identical to "Bom Bom". Think they'd need a collaboration with a UK rapper to get them out of one-hit wonder territory; shame really.

Leeds United Team & Supporters "Leeds Leeds Leeds (Marching On Together)" #10 They did have a hit with 'Leeds United' in 1972, however that was under the name of 'Leeds United FC' Coincidentaly that also reached no.10 but spent rather longer than a single week on the chart!
