I am always an optomist, but even I am concered with 'Gentleman' pre-orders on the tunes :/

It's going to be completely overshadowed by Icona Pop, John Newman and Chase and Status when it's released. :(

I'm now thinking this might do a '30 Days' after all, but it's more to do with competition and radio still hammering What About Us than the song being weak.

I think we can only blame WAU to a certain extent. Ultimately if this song was amazing it would be at least Top 50 on airplay right now. Plenty of artists have had more than one song in the Top 20 at once. If Gentleman were on par with WAU then radio stations would be switching over to it because it's better/equal AND new, but it seems as though they still see WAU as the superior track even though it's now dated and is almost off the charts. That says a lot about Gentleman's reception in my opinion.

I wouldn't blame 'What About Us' in the slightest, I just think that there up against strong competition that week and are getting completely over shadowed.

A lot of DJ's don't like 'Gentleman'. Kiss have snubbed 'Gentleman', which is quite disappointing as they hammered 'What About Us'.

I actually think 'Gentleman' might peak at around #07 now. Chase & Status, John Newman, Icona Pop, Sebastian Ingrosso, should easily beat them and I'm not so sure that The Wanted are going to drop as fast as expected.

1st July

Chase & Status feat. Louis M^ttrs - Lost And Not Found

Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX – I Love It

John Newman – Love Me Again

Lucy Spraggan – Lighthouse

The Saturdays – Gentleman

Sebastian Ingrosso feat. Tommy Trash & John Martin - Reload

I think it could really go either way at this point. They're coming off a successful single but the song isn't the greatest. I'm still thinking Top 5 with a quick drop, around 150,000 sales total.
the fact pre-orders, youtube views AND airplay is poor is making me worried itll do a Heart Takes Over :/

YouTube views aren't poor though.... it's doing second best in views after What About Us. Not amazingly well, but their videos never do.

Several of their singles and 30 Days especially took well, pretty much 30 days and then some to get to a million views lol.

This isn't going to go top 5 though, anywhere from #7 to #10 and a short stay in the top 40 IMO.

Just pre-ordered on iTunes, bit shit that you can't preview the tracks.
If it's going to miss the top 3 then I'd like it to chart at #6 kthnxbye.

They need a #6 position indeed! I much prefer Gentleman to be it and the next #1 smash waiting to happen aka Not Giving Up On Love.

Not far from the top 40 in the UK.

UK - #44

Ireland - #54

There's one or two songs with another version in the top 40 so they should be around #43 or #42.

You're under my skin

Just stay right there

I want you there

Let the rest fade away

It's just you and me,

What was meant to be

Perfection.

Hurricane I feel like we should come up with some master plan to get that song to be released next. It can clean up the mess that Gentleman is about to make :P I see NGUOL being their first Platinum single

I know, right?!

And that huge Rochenessa chorus. Oh my god. I can't. It's so huge.

I'm up for the master plan!

#53 on iTunes UK.

Seems like it's going to be the same thing all over again this week.

#51, it's fallen less than last week :cheer:

And taking away multiple versions its currently #48. Hopefully the good ol' weekend effect will do them well.
