March 23, 201312 yr I had to support mah GALS for this week. I absolutely ADORE both, but this week has been all about What About Us.
March 23, 201312 yr I would lion over The Saturdays normally and am happy they are no 1 but WAU is very disappointing as a single. I have nothing against the girls getting a #1 they are inoffensive to me but I don't think the song is anything to get excited about. Edited March 23, 201312 yr by torresgirl
March 23, 201312 yr Author Not quite the landslide result I was expecting. Bastille not giving way at all.
March 23, 201312 yr Author I have nothing against the girls getting a #1 they are inoffensive to me but I don't think the song is anything to get excited about. I agree the song isn't worth all the hype. I think its just the need to get a no.1 after all of their other (much superior) single missed out.
March 24, 201312 yr I agree the song isn't worth all the hype. I think its just the need to get a no.1 after all of their other (much superior) single missed out. I'd say this is far more worthy than 'Just Can't Get Enough', 'Forever Is Over' or 'Missing You' (the only ones that came close previously).
March 24, 201312 yr I just don't get the Saturday's hype for this song. I like some of their stuff (particularly All Fired Up)... But the weird faux-reggae stuff they have going on in this song is just terrible, borderline offensive. Nothing against them I just really REALLY don't get the song at all. And Bastille are incredible. So Bastille.
March 24, 201312 yr This one's easy. "Pompeii" by a country mile I'm stunned by the success "What About Us" is having. For me it is an instantly forgettable song, a huge step down from some of the Saturdays' earlier work
March 24, 201312 yr Author I'd say this is far more worthy than 'Just Can't Get Enough', 'Forever Is Over' or 'Missing You' (the only ones that came close previously). Well I certainly agree with Forever is Over. How did that peak at 2. That and Ego should've been the other way round.
March 24, 201312 yr I think Ego and Higher (Flo Rida Version) could've been #1s for The Saturdays if their management actually had the brains to release those as the 1st single in place of Forever Is Over/Missing You. Looks like finally The Sats Team have got it right and they've benefitted - getting a #1 single!
