Whether you liked her or not, this is a bit disrespectful to her family.

People need to get over it. Some songs were obviously going to rise whenever her death was announced, and it just so happens to be this one. You can't control the record-buying public.

Someone needs to remove it from iTunes.

I know the opinions split but I think it's disgusting, celebrating someones death?

I seriously wonder about the British Public sometimes.

So remove it from itunes (censorship)>?? No way it would be like 1977 all over again!!

The fact its rising up the chart shows how she divided opinion and deserves its place in history imo!!

:ne: 357. Diana Vickers - Cinderella (Pre-order)

So high already!!! :w00t:

OMG how??????

She's had no hype at the moment. :o

So impressive.

Also hope DDTWID gets an official top 10 placing this week.

That would be absolutely ridiculous. As I said, some people have waited years for this moments. Others might just enjoy a bit of Judy Garland.

I wasn't alive during Thatcher's time as Prime Minister but i think all of this is too harsh.

Erm, doesn't it mean she's had about 50 pre-orders? Not that impressive yet.

Diana up to #253 is quite impressive as she has had NO HYPE and I thought everyone had forgotten her tbh.

Bit of a spiteful campaign re: Thatcher, but there's nothing we can do. Hoping it runs out of steam soon, I don't think it deserves a top 10 placing, and I dread to think how Greg will introduce it tomorrow/Jameela on Sunday.

A bit of good news though - "I Need Your Love" (top version) is now as high as #12 - and still without a video. Surely a good sign that it'll be another T10 hit for Harris, I've got my fingers crossed for T3!

I'm not going to download it since I'm not a huge fan of the song and I'm trying to avoid going out of my way to celebrate her death, but it is quite fitting that "Ding Dong" looks like charting so high on Sunday. This is a big news story so it's only inevitable the charts will reflect the reaction to it, positive or negative.

Although middle aged Charlie will probably be here in decades to come complaining about poor taste when "War" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood hits #1 after Blair dies.

I think it's disgusting. I was born in 91 so after she was in office but it seems like most of the people applauding this song are people my age or younger who know nothing of what actually happened. Her life should be celebrated not her death, the first female prime minister and she did a lot of great for this country as well as some bad but doesn't every person in charge. Heck I'd rather her leadership than that of what we have now. This all coming from a labour supporter.
