Since we've reached 50 pages on the other WAU thread, thought it was time to make another thread! Think is the first time we've reached a part 3! :o

*Estimations

I think k this needs updated since we are missing almost 44k :)

I saw it on witter tonight, looks genuine!

If so, that should mean BRIT nomo!

It's so hard to believe they actually went from 30 f***ing Days to having a Gold #1 single in the space of a year.
I don't mean to sound negative but don't they have another 10k to sell before going gold?
They do indeed, I'm sure OFC will announce at the end of the year their official sales, I'm sure it will end 2013 on around 393,000 sales, I highly doubt they've managed to pass 390,000 sales.

We've been having this debate on Popjustice too. I'm pretty sure it's a common case to see an album or a single get a certification while it hasn't sold the right numbers for it. Especially in Australia lol.

Anyway, apparently that's only the case for albums and doesn't quite work for singles.

But didn't we have an official sales report back in October saying the single had sold 378,925 copies? It was brought by Jay so I really doubt it wasn't official. Even if it did manage to sell more than what specialists on Buzzjack thought, surely they couldn't be THAT wrong? There are freaking 22 000 copies missing! So yup, must be 'shipments' or whatever, but the song can't have sold more than 400k already.

Yeah, I assume there's been some sort of mistake, but I doubt they've managed to sell 22k in 9 weeks below the bottom #500. It's rather impossible.

Maybe the 400,000 copies sold includes multiple sales that haven't counted towards the official chart/sales data?

I know I bought 3 copies of the physical so obviously only one of this counted?

And then within 3 months they went from that to 'Gentleman'...

So where did that image of the gold cert Disc come from?

Your 3 copies will have counted as 3 copies. ;)

It only has the UK and US flag on it, so 100,000 copies sold in the US?

Well Done anyway girls!

WOW! Thats pretty impressive that the underdog girlband sold half a million copies of one song in two territories. I bet WAU was so profitable for them!

OF COURSE, it is the QUEEN MOLLIE who's got the certification. When will your faves/her backing dancers?

#WhoIsBeyonce #MollieSlayingAllOverTheWorld

No they wouldn't. Surely it works the same as when you go into HMV and buy 3 of the same album at the same time, I thought only 1 copy counted towards the chart??

Gobsmacked at that American sales figure!

It's for both the US and the UK, by the way (so 400k for the UK and 100k for the US)

I don't know if you had understood that or not...
