 63. Young and Beautiful - Lana Del Rey

Could go top 40? Seems there are going to be a decent number of top 100 new entries after all, albeit none particularly high (Loveable Rogues, Amelia Lily, Blue, Lethal Bizzle, Nicky Romero, Lana Del Rey, maybe Paul Weller).

31. Carly Rae Jepsen - Tonight I'm Getting Over You

32. Amelia Lily - Party Over

34. Paramore - Still Into You

57. Nicky Romero & Nervo - Like Home & #134

It really is a shame Daft Punk released on a Friday. They probably would have got the highest weekly sale of the year so far if they'd released on Sunday.

Considering their lead I think they're still going to see very well this week - however I agree they sold over 50k in two days; they could've sold well over 100k last week if it was released on Sunday.

Not Nineteen Forever & We Are The Champions might get a boost thanks to Manchester United winning the league for the 20th time.

Paul Hardcastle went back to #40 with '19' the last time they won IIRC so this could indeed be the case. Possibly.

Hmmm will there be a boost for either Lily Allen's 22 or Taylor Swift's if/when that total rises

I'm surprised at Passenger! I thought for a long time this was likely to become a hit though.

151. Major Lazer - Watch Out For This (Bumaye) [feat. Busy Signal, The Flexican & FS Green]

^ So happy to see this quite high. :cheer:

None of will.i.am's album tracks are doing very well (apart from the promo single I guess). I thought the 2NE1 song would be high, but it looks like none will even go top 200.

I would hope it'd be Lily Allen's song.

This song has been accused of ripping off a track by Mat Zo. I'm surprised Eric hasn't mentioned this in here before especially with Mat Zo making his chart debut :P

I'm surprised it's the highest tbh, since most people seem to hate the song (well, will.i.am's version of it at least ).

I think originally the song was going to be Chris Brown's lead single for his previous album (in place of Turn Up the Music).

Hopefully we'll find out in 2015

25. Charlie Brown - On My Way (This has done better than I expected)

31. Amelia Lily - Party Over

40. Will.i.am Feat Miley Cyrus - Fall Down

47. Blue - Hurt Lovers (I predict this will be at around #70 tomorrow)

51. Lana Del Ray - Young & Beautiful

60. Imagine Dragons - It's Time (Been increased back to 99p :( )

Hope Lana can break the top 40 soon! It's always nice to see her doing well on iTunes. :D

Hoping Carly will make top 40 officially this week, I'm not that bothered about the song but it's been ages since 'Call Me Maybe' :o .

I'm surprised at Passenger! I thought for a long time this was likely to become a hit though.

After being active in the music scene for 4 years - in solo career -, it looks like Passenger will finally debut in the UK top 40 this week. About time!

Just found out the below interview written last Christmas:

We have some things in common. I'm also a hater of Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On & that bloody film Titanic!
