 288. Demi Lovato - Heart Attack

 463. Stooshe - Slip

Also, Leanne Mitchell released her new single on Sunday, but it is currently not top 1500.

Oh Stooshe starting to climb a fair bit, I'm not sure how Slip is going to do, if it misses the top 10 it would be quite a shock, if it makes the top 10 the chart run will be comical.

Dont underestimate the power of Capital FM though. Probably more important than Radio 1 these days tbh.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft Ray Dalton  #3

Passenger  #4

What is it exactly that Ryan Lewis does on these songs?

I disagree with this - Capital, 99% of the time, only plays songs that already are, or are guaranteed to be, big hits. The Capital support is because of the success, not the other way around. Of course there are some exceptions (Cover Drive, Lawson and Charlie Brown being the most obvious examples - and the former two are affiliated with Global Radio anyway). Capital are getting better at supporting more 'risky' songs recently but they still lag behind Radio 1 in that aspect (see them jumping on the bandwagon of 'Pompeii' - at least for a few weeks - after R1 turned it into a big hit).

^ Hoping "Iris" misses out on the T10 now, I think it's very likely. With Nelly pulling ahead again though, it'll be Pink looking to hold on to her place, with "Need U" falling to #11 :(

^ Holding up incredibly well, should get another week or two in the T40 now!

Pretty much exactly what David Guetta does on his songs. :P

He's also the director of their videos.

Sad to see Disclosure on the slide, I was hoping they could be #8 at the lowest this week.

Don't worry about it it should go top 10 this week but it won't fall too fast because like its previous hits its airplay is only starting this week!

Is DP being reduced yet they are still 50% ahead of Rudimental but no3/4 are 37% now and were 33% last night - are the top 2 slowing down?

I can't quite see it having the same sort of longevity as 'Latch' or 'White Noise'. Mind you, they are both far superior but still.

I agree, because if you get supported by Capital, you get your song played once every 2-3 hours for 6 months+ (in the cases of We Found Love, Moves Like Jagger, etc. it's 18 months and still getting played daily). Whilst Radio 1 you get your song played maybe once every 8 hours for 2-3 months (and occasional plays afterwards). Radio 1 support alone is not going to keep your song in the top 75 for 6 months, no matter how good it is.

But Radio 1 is better since they support you even if your music isn't commercial. Whilst even some of the biggest pop stars in the world get shunned by Capital if they release a non-dance song (e.g. they refused to play You and I by Lady Gaga). Which makes you wonder what chance anybody else has. It's a shame really. I noticed Capital is having a branch out a bit more recently, since there's not enough dance-pop songs in the top 40 to fill up their playlist anymore.

Yeah meant to add that point, it wont quite be as big because its not as good quality either, should do well though!

Your right but radio 1 alisting means your song is played once EVERY dj show, so before a song is released/week of impact they will play a song once every 3 hours or so!

In my iTunes Chart watching days, Matt Cardle had a HUMONGOUS lead over Rihanna in December 2010.

And Tombo, I'm purchasing that "dribble". Problem?

My problem is that I think it is shit lol
