May 9, 201312 yr I'm not sure I'd place 'On The Metro' or 'Something New' quite that highly in their overall back catalogue, but they're great songs all the same. Likewise with 'Untouchable' being top 3, but I know it's a massive fan favourite. I'm very glad 'Call The Shots' came nowhere near, overrated and flat chorus. Even more pleased the fab 'Girl Overboard' finished higher.

May 9, 201312 yr I'd actually consider 'Untouchable' to be by far the weakest song in the top 10. But I've always had a complicated relationship with that song I suppose. It's nowhere near being one of their top 3 songs though (watch now as it wins). 'Call The Shots' has finished around about where it deserves to be, though I'd have liked 'No Good Advice' and 'Sexy! No No No' to be a good few positions higher. 'Girl Overboard' definitely deserves to be the highest non-single though. I'm hoping for a 'Biology' win. One of my favourite songs of all time.
May 9, 201312 yr "Biology" for the win! :wub: "Untouchable" is a fantastic song, but I don't think it's winner-worthy, and "Something Kinda Ooooh" is one of my least favourite up-tempo singles. A shame to see "Sound of the Underground" miss out on the top three, and bizarre that it's drawn with "The Show"! I've always liked that, but I'd have thought it had gone forgotten by most...

'Untouchable' and 'Something Kinda Ooooh' are my personal, GA favourites (very, VERY pleased at them finishing 2nd and 3rd - 'Biology' is a deserving winner!). I'm just pleased 'Something New', 'Call The Shots' or 'The Promise' didn't come top 3! Particularly SN. Still find it "alright, but extremely overrated". I actually agree with Aly about 'Call The Shots' too, I definitely prefer 'The Loving Kind' as it feels more polished to me. 'Black Jacks' and 'Whole Lotta History' both finishing safely inside the top 20 is also, very pleasing to see! 'St. Trinian's Theme' did so much better than I'd anticipated it to do, to! :wub:

May 10, 201312 yr Biology is a fab winner but I'd have preferred Something Kinda Ooooh. Just glad Untouchable didn't win, it's one of their weaker singles IMO (but still great).

I guess I just ranked it against the other tracks on The Sound Of.... Thanks for compiling all of this Luke, it was a great read (despite some questionable decisions) :D
